Aside from how they look most of the time (they look more black than they do white in the majority of cases) The mixed-race individual also usually calls themselves black or emphasises themselves as being mixed. A lot of mixed individuals who reach celebrity emphasise themselves as being black, or when they do acknowledge themselves as being mixed they're typically disdainful of their white side (See Meghan Markle) Barack Obama is half-white but he's still called a black man by not only most of America but also when he refers to himself as such.
