His general calm demeanor and politely listening without interruption is his biggest asset so far, versus Kamala's over-the-top condescension and exaggerated expressions. Minneapolis was a great line.

Kamala is doing a very poor job by focusing extensively on personal attacks and generalities instead of declaring any policy. She isn't likable enough to coast solely on appeals to emotion. Empty pantsuit.

I agree, especially with that last point. It's ironic considering Harris brought up how this debate is going to involve a lot of personal attacks. Call coming from inside the house.

it doubly pisses me off because if you were a fox news watcher you remember how any white republican was demonized to shit then. cheney was the new hitler, romney was the new hitler. jeb was the new hitler. but oh now were supposed to believe the democrats are amicable and those were the grand old days of the grand old party where republicans were respectable.
 
This was nearly as bad as the Biden debate. Kamala comes off as week as she constantly sounds like shes about to cry. She can't stop needling Trump instead of debating points. I guess you don't need your potential leader to look good if she just tries to get her opposition assassinated and can just rig another election.
 
Mediocre performance from Trump, while Kamala treads water. Seems like the Harris strategy is just to let Trump dig his own grave. We'll see how it works out.

A lot of this rings kind of like a traditional Trump debate. Biased moderators bickering with Trump. Egotistical rambling. Pearl clutching from the Democratic nom about "fine people on both sides!!!". The vibe really lacks the charm it had back in 2016.

It's the presidential debates. A time honored American tradition where the two parties team together to have their guy argue discuss pre approved questions that both parties agreed to beforehand behind closed doors. Third parties and losers not included.

We're 50 minutes into this thing and Harris has not touched on a single policy point outside of abortion. At least Trumps saying what he's going to do. Not sure how that's going to play with the voters.
