Chibi's thread has an insane signal to noise ratio. I'm not against talking about Japan in general, or speculating on what weird issues Cheebs is going to face. The real problem is that a small group of autists regularly use the thread to post :tmi: about how their lives in le ebin Nihon are. In some cases, it's paragraphs upon paragraphs of barely relevant shit about how difficult getting a bank account is, or some random shit no-one cares about.

Earlier on, before Cheebs moved to Japan, the thread had some mentions of how his plans to stream and make videos of his life would make for a crappy Abroad In Japan knockoff with none of the charisma, editing ability, or quality control. This hasn't surfaced, but for some reason, some people (I don't read usernames) decided to do exactly that, but in a Kiwi Farms thread.

So many of the standard topics of conversation that I'd sort into Japan sperging have been done to death as much as Caveman trooning out has: His bank account, the ordeal of having to buy appliances for an apartment, getting irritated with riding a train, etc. It's not funny, and it's nothing to do with Adam White.

KF has several off-topic boards, and these would suit a general Japan Life one far better than something about a specific cow. I was just reading his thread, and someone said they think talking about Japan is far more interesting than just leaving the thread until something actually happens, forgetting that the thread wasn't made for them to sperg about how awesome living in Weeb heaven is. I don't care, and apparently the other posters you @ didn't care either. So why is whichever sperg who presumably @ you about this getting sand in his vagina over Negrates?

The signal to noise ratio in the Chibi thread is way far from the normal compared to almost every other thread I follow on this site. Multiple pages of new posts will be made and not a single one containing new info about or an update from Chibi, just lots of people sharing personal anecdotes or talk about their knowledge of nip culture. It's very annoying to scroll through and makes the thread difficult to read.

Even though Chibi is one of my favorite cows and has been for a decade now, I only check the thread once a week so that I can just go through the highlights because I know the majority of the times it's bumped for no reason.

Honestly, I'm content with the japan sperging as long as it's related to Chibi. Chibi goes into a bar, does something really retarded and cringe, then someone goes "This is retarded and cringe because Japanese has expectations of [X]", then it's fine. As long as the weebs are being vaguely on topic about the area and the events of Chibi, I don't mind some spergery.

It used to be particularly bad but now the guy lives in Japan, so it can be topical and current, instead of some autism resonance where Chibi mentions japan for the 80th time and the weebs answer the call.
