With that in perspective, it clarifies a lot of the political behavior seen on this forum. It is ride-or-die with Trump because he is seen as the only remaining attempt to push back against globohomo.

I think the TES posters, like myself, view that perception as insane. And we will list a number of reasons why Trump isn’t looking out for the interests of America. For Trump’s followers, any argument against him is ignored because at least he is echoing the cause to “Make America Great Again”. Nobody else in politics led campaigns promising that mythological golden age. I can see that as a valid reason to defend Trump and his agenda and stick with it no matter what.

Ultimately, I view the disconnect between posters as an assumption of complete political alignment. For example, a response to someone questioning the ICE raids is to accuse the poster of wanting “infinity nigger rapefugees”. There’s an automatic assumption that opposition to a policy means you are on the opposing political side even though there was no support of wanting open borders. We are on Kiwifarms. We all at least share politics of wanting an uncensored Internet. None of us are following political party platforms 100% to the letter. We all need to be aware of that.
