Debate Dream stans on if Dream is actually fat

Reality check: Lots of people would. Lots of people would even if he was fat. It's called fame and being a good person.

Hi, someone who watches some of MCYT here :) Fun fact! Did you know I find almost everyone on the DreamSMP enjoying/tolerable except for Dream?
So you can’t call me an anti because I’ve tried his content, but I simply cannot get through it. I can’t even finish the video Quackity posted about shopping carts because quite simply, I recoil every time I hear that man.

And why is that? I’ve asked myself that a few times and I’ve come to realize.

The way Dream handles his stans is atrocious, any time he calls them out he sugarcoats it with love so it has no effect. He goes after smaller creators and gets them hatemobbed, take Jawsh for example, someone who was harsh in his wording of criticizing the Stan culture but that’s because he knew that worked for his group.
You’re probably too young to remember SMPLive. But back then, the stans were almost as bad as they are now in terms of obsession. A lot of creators didn’t like how they were sexualized, shipped and made to kill each other in fanfiction, but it crossed lines once Cooper’s water bottle got stolen. Carson then did a serious stream actually calling the stans out, and he didn’t sugarcoat anything.

Now, this happened in 2019, fairly recent event. This event was huge, and someone who is on Twitter as much as Dream as, would have seen it. Plus, Dream has ties with Schlatt, someone who was directly effected by this to the point of him no longer making videos with one of his oldest creator friends AND also has a great video on the dangers of Parasocial relationships.
Logically thinking, Dream should use the past as a reference, or even get direct advice from a person who has lived through similar.

But he doesn’t.

That’s not to mention that earlier this year, a Twitter account got a multitude of death threats for poking fun at Dream. What does the jolly green giant do? He makes it into a joke. He doesn’t even address the person who got sent death threats and instead blows it off by being like “oh don’t be toxic lul”

This is not the first, and it will not be the last, time he’s done this.

His lack to properly call out stans, and no, saying “UR NOT A REALZ STAN IF UR TOXIC >:( DONT SEND DEATH THREATS GUYSS WE DONT CLAIM U” does not count as a call out, makes him, to me, a repulsive human being who only cares about himself. He can donate money, he can do whatever that makes him look good in the eyes of the public. But the minute it comes to accountability, he’s nowhere to be seen and mocks the situation like an entitled asshole.

Also, saying “it’s impossible to control the stans” is a false statement. Carson did it with SMPLive and soon enough, NSFW art was almost non existent and people weren’t crossing creator boundaries.

Until the Dream SMP/Dream fanbase grew. I’ve seen more Jschlatt NSFW now than when I did when he actually streamed. It’s horrifying and that’s why he takes every chance to insult or make stans angry because a multitude of you continue to cross creator boundaries, and if you’re not crossing boundaries, you’re screeching “TW!! THIS PERSON IS RACIST AND HOMOPHOBIC AND YOU ALL NEED TO STOP INTERACTJNG WITH THEM OMG”
Dream need a toxic fanbase that he has the ability to make get in line, but he doesn’t because he knows that will make him lose popularity. It happened with SMPLive, he doesn’t want that happening to him because he’s greedy.

You’re probably not gonna listen because you’re a Dream Stan, but there’s your perspective from someone who is actually invested in MCYT :)
