death by fire or death by water? - which induces more fear?

Maybe water, idk, not sure I really like either option.
Your body reflexively inhales but your lungs are confused. Why can't they extract oxygen anymore? Your throat is screaming, "IT'S NOT AIR IT'S FUCKING WATER!" but the liquid has you muffled. Your brain is panicking like a dictator in a bunker. Is his reign really over? Will there be a miracle like in the scripted movies?
He begs the heart to pump faster, like that would anything to the doomed carcass, sliding down the depths of pressure and darkness...

Death by fire

Death by fire is usually a mixture of smoke inhalation and soot in the lungs smothering you to death unless you mean literally being immolated. Water is usually your lungs filling up and you being suffocated. Water is usually 'faster' but they're both traumatic horrible ways to die.

Sooo I guess water.
