How about a kiwifarms BP advice solicitation thread?

Post your advice questions here, and maybe a sweet kiwi will answer.

Okay, so I'll start.

I have a childhood friend (gay male) that recently came out to me as a furry. He doesn't have a suit, but pays people for custom VR characters and goes to various furry themed rooms and meets other players, but also meets some of them IRL for sex. He's extremely popular, smart, makes six figures, good body, handsome, great family. I seriously don't understand.
I told him I find furrydom offensive because of the beastiality connotations. But he always mentions how it's normal to find cat woman sexy. I'm not sure how to counter this argument?
Is this a friend dealbreaker? Is being a furry actually amoral, or am I just a prude? Our friendship is A1 otherwise, goin on 2 decades. Advise me
 
Your friend is a gay male, why are you surprised he's a hypersexualized paraphiliac?

If your friendship is normal then continue being friends with him, who gives a shit. You're somehow OK with him taking it up the ass from a new man every week but this furry stuff is somehow the straw breaking the camel's back.

There are way more furries than there are beastiality enjoyers, I know this is going to be hard to fathom but the vast majority of furries don't actually want to fuck real animals because they lack the features and body proportions of the things that are attractive to them in furry art.

Some furries would be into IRL animal fucking if given a chance. Most wouldn't. At least that's my take on it.

I think that fetishes have nothing to do with friendship.

Realistically, the only thing that changed in your relationship is his "coming out".

People should keep their degeneracy private. If you know enough about people, everyone is a degenerate in their own right. But only the worst of them feel the need to tell everyone about it.

The equation is simple, if you like and enjoy this guy in spite of the fetish, stay friends. If you're tolerating him to your increasing detriment, it's probably better to cut it off.

One of my longest term friends has become brainwashed by leftist Twitch channels.

She started obsessively watching hasan piker during the pandemic and her brain has pretty much melted. I have told her flat out that I refuse to watch any of the whore-purchasing moids videos she sends me.

She would mention trans nonsense and I would ignore it. She’s been angry at coverage of the war in Ukraine because “people only care because they’re white. What about what’s going on in Yemen.” Telling me I shouldn’t subscribe to the NYT because of their biased reporting even tho where else am I going to do my daily Wordle.

She’s expressed incredibly hostile views about Israel since she started watching Twitch and now she has stopped speaking to me because I am not adequately upset about Gaza and refused to get upset about random people on LinkedIn showing support for Israel after 1400 were killed.

I am so over it. It’s so stupid.

I think I lost a friend to very similar forces recently. He accused me of being a sellout because I have a job and don't especially think that a violent Communist revolution would be a net positive for the US (actually he said he didn't want a "violent" Communist revolution and I asked him how the fuck he thought that was gonna happen and he got real mad lol.)

I have no advice other than to stay reasonable and be willing to forgive and forget if the temperature of this kind of garbage thinking ever gets turned down. It's a pretty sure thing that she's swallowed all of this stuff because she doesn't really have a driving purpose or a reason to get out of bed in the morning and this gives her one. It's gonna be hard / impossible to reason her out of this, you gotta just hope she finds a less destructive calling in life.
