Would it be possible to host a KF instance of invidious to prevent potential fuckery by yewtu.be?

Can you screenshot your issue? I am using Brave and LibreWolf and I do not get the problem.

I just opened this thread and you can see several videos played automatically. If I refresh the page, some of the videos that did play won't, while others that didn't play will. This is on LibreWolf. Do you need a screenshot of something else too?

These YouTube redirects are far more memory intensive than regular YouTube embeds at least on Firefox. Is this a permanent change site wide?
Yeah, I'm going to allow a few MB of memory to avoid feeding Google analytics more data from a site they are openly extremely hostile towards. We get ZERO benefit from letting Google even access this website.

I am having the same issue with firefox where all videos just start playing when you go to the page.

Clicking new post in alerts brought me to the final post on a page but videos at the top of the page began playing on their own.

okay well that doesn't happen on normal browsers or librewolf so if you can investigate what addon or setting you have that's causing it let me know.

Seems its a known bug with firefox where it ignores user settings for autoplay even if you have blocked autoplay of videos/audio.

Not sure why the change suddenly made the bug appear though when it was never an issue before.

Some of the Invidious instances fail to load for me (e.g. piped.video).
Screenshot of what a video that fails to load looks like:

I'm using Brave.
Same here, all of the instances in rotation seem to work fine for me (on Brave, on multiple devices) except for Piped.

Is the strategy going to be relying on the invidious round robin system or are you eventually going to self-host a kiwi instance?
Ever since the main instance shut down it's been a balkanized mess of everyone forking their own shit onto their instances.
