He turned into an obnoxious pissbaby at some point, couldn't take any criticism whatsoever from anyone when it came to his attitude and just the general way he would treat people. His content was becoming annoying, whiny, and genuinely just hateful. Nobody liked the vibes he was giving off, and slowly everyone in the friend group left one by one, and he would act like we were the ones who changed.

Tbh the downfall is when he cheated on his girlfriend who was a mod, It was a massive drama bomb, and he never seemed the same after it. After that things never felt like they went back to normal, and his personality would permanently become more pessimistic and harder to watch as a content creator.

I have proof but none that wouldn't out who I am to him if he ever reads this. Anyone else from his circle at the time will remember this: He had a secret channel in his discord named Cool Boy Tower. We would get together there and talk shit about the other members of his Discord. Don't know if he still has that channel or not, but if you're in his Discord, just know how much the YouTuber you enjoy values you!

Deets and lore? Probably a lot if I actually thought about it, but it was honestly years ago at this point that I knew this guy on a friendly level.

He was always pissed about something. Caused a lot of inner drama and stress with everyone around him because he was constantly unapproachable, to his mods and his friends. We would make separate Discords away from him eventually because we enjoyed the friend group that was made around him, but not his constant inability to understand normal social cues.

As for your questions:

1) It was an online girlfriend I think. She was honestly really nice, if not too compliant with him sometimes even when he was in the wrong. We tried to warn her early on that he might be too much, I know the girlfriend he had before her also ended terribly, and if I remember right it was mostly his fault with that one, too. I don't know if they ever met IRL or not so I can't say if it was more of an online thing than it was IRL.

2) Ben? Brandon? Brendan? Something B.

3) No idea where the political turn came from. When I knew him he could be political sometimes. He would always go off about being a centrist in a manner that made it feel as if he found himself morally superior to everyone else for labeling himself that way, and he had hot takes that would make everyone in the room give him the side-eye, but it never got like, intolerable? I guess? I think he kept his mouth shut more then because most of the group we were in were left leaning. I do remember drama at one point with a mod who was black calling him out and leaving because of his constant and unapologetic use of the N word around them. He was never very good at being a "centrist" and obviously leaned more right wing. It doesn't surprise me too much that eventually he just let the mask drop and goes off about political crap as if anyone watching him is there for that in the first place.

4) Not many "fun facts" since we were never like, the best of friends personally. The group kept trying to plan in-person meet ups but he would always come up with some sort of excuse that made it so it never happened as far as I'm aware. He gives me anti-social vibes in general.

He cares about video games more than people probably, it was the only thing he'd ever talk about, to an annoying degree.

I think the best fun fact I can come up with is the guy has an ego thin as paper, and any criticism of him would cause endless drama in the group. There were always people who would defend him no matter what because was the "LOL big YouTuber" man in the room, which coddled him and made it so you basically could never say anything negative about the big man without disturbing the peace.

5) Probably? Don't really know where life has taken him, I've only learned things and seen bits and pieces here and there through his uploads the last few years. He seems less enthusiastic about shit than he use to be, more angry at the world. I can remember a time when he was still annoying, but had a side to him that was genuinely fun to be around sometimes. Now I could never view myself being friends with the dude I see today in his videos. He honestly seems like a miserable person, but it's his choices in the end that have lead him down that road.

6) I'm doing pretty good for myself. I made better friends, learned to watch out for red flags in people better because of my experiences with DWD. I've talked to some of the old members of our crew over time, and basically all of them are doing well, including the GF. We all agree that that era of the DWD circle was a learning experience best left in the past. I'm just shooting a guess by saying this, but he probably ended up the most miserable of us all in the end. But that's just a guess based off of what I see from him now vs how he was back then.

Don't be a 30yo manchild with a glass ego who treats all his friends like a commodity and lesser, kids.

Well, seems like I was spot on about Claw seething, and is now changing goal posts from "dude this is obviously faked" to "dude this will never work in court" (which is right but it doesn't dissprove Star is a pedo), while also copping about how he was "just making fun of both weirdos", which while it works on super origami kingdom spats, i think it's pretty tone deaf when one guy is crying because Enter didn't like his editing, while the other is proving he is a chomo degen. Enter's luck of somehow looking like the lesser autist in each slap fight he gets in keeps working wonders.

As someone who watched the full stream where he talked about it, I think it's a bit unfair to say he downplayed the allegations. He spent like 90% of the stream making fun of the tranny and even mocking it for how poorly it passes, while mostly buying into the allegations and complimenting Enter for his video. Of course, he does also question the validity of the screenshots, and makes fun of Enter for being an autist, but I don't think that changes the overall tone of the stream.

That's kind of the problem with Claw's content though, isn't it? All his live clips are like 3 hours long, and he goes in with 0 knowledge of what he's talking about, then constantly flip flops on his opinions minutes apart from each other as new information comes up, while simultaneously adopting a more cynical version of Cr1tikal's fencesitting where he feels the need to denounce everyone involved multiple times and never come to a real conclusion. That approach works when he talks about low-caste GoAnimate user drama that no one gives a shit about, but when he's talking about something like Enter's video that a decent subset of people feel passionately about, inevitably the people involved will find it, probably watch like 30 minutes because holy shit it's 3 hours, and get the impression that he's just guzzling StarGiant's tranny pedo knob the entire time.

People in the know would never take one of Claw's videos too seriously, because they know it's some retarded alcoholic "enlightened centrist", who's literally taking hits of his weed vape as he talks, giving his live reaction to something he doesn't care at all about, while skipping around looking for silly parts he can make fun of. But someone invested in the drama finds that, and takes it far more seriously than it realistically should be, and when they see that the first 45 minutes of the stream are him completely failing to understand what the video's even about and calling Enter a sperg, it's understandable why they'd interpret it the way they do.

I'd compare Claw's content to Jerry Springer, more so than even any other lolcow channel. Jerry Springer would have like 50 episodes straight of retarded shit like "My Gay Son Got My Sister Pregnant!", but then there'd be one episode in there that tried to tackle a "serious issue" like gay marriage or racism, but it'd be framed the same way every other episode is. They'd get the fattest ugliest drag queen and his homophobic dad on and then they'd have the dad push him into a wedding cake while he's wearing a thong or some shit, and it would add absolutely nothing to the conversation except Jerry giving his milquetoast fencesitter take at the end where he basically just says that Americans should really try to talk more about these serious issues. That's Claw's content. He talks about the bottom of the barrel retards 99% of the time, then stumbles into a real drama video, treats it the same way, then tries to give a "serious" take that amounts to nothing but "well enter is retarded but this stargiant person seems worse I guess. the evidence is pretty damning if true, but that's an if, because idk if I trust discord screencaps. maybe it's real tho who knows lol." before going back to talking about blueberry fetishes the next stream.
 
I saw the most recent video on "goyslop" and he really has to step away from the brink. Someone posted about how he's using "groyper words" and how that's the "audience he will attract" (or something like that), And the guy is right. He gets out there. He talks about politics and shit knowing nothing about the situation. And frankly I kind of don't care that Israel is killing fucking Muslims, but he talks about how they're going into churches and just murdering the white man. I'm not saying he has to be with my political takes at all. Frankly he doesn't, but he doesn't have the political understanding and even come to a conclusion. He said before one of his most recent podcasts that he used to be super left wing or whatever because he thought that was the "correct pov" and it's clear that he swung the opposite way as a "fuck you mom and dad", type of thinking. It's also obvious. He really is trying to emulate metokur, but the difference is that Jims's been there forever and medical is also much older, and even with Medica his political takes were boring as shit. No one wants to listen to someone who doesn't really live in the real world talk about politics, left right or center I don't care and if you take your political view from retards online then you're also retarded.

But sure if claw wants to go down that path and attract an audience of groypers then sooner or later this thread will find information and post information about how he's a fucking cringy weirdo. And not in the way we could laugh off. I still like to die. He's entertaining, but people really don't understand the concept of "stay in your lane" But this also goes back to Jim's theory that you only have x number of years as a streamer before you're irrelevant. The guy talked about before how he thinks kiwi farms is "green reddit", and it's really not. But the guy has a discord. It's only a matter of time.


I do want to point out one other thing, at least my point of view, josh has beliefs and says things that aren't really attached to reality but in many ways Josh does have some experience. What does Claw have?

Also, he's killing off a lot of the things that made him fun to watch (mainly his reactions to users and those types of people) in exchange for his " philosophic takes" but he's a fucking midwit. A funny one, but a midwit.
 
I had one past stream open for background noise and had to stop it because he went off for like ten minutes because some chatter used the word "mid". Now he's using the replacement for mid in calling everything slop of some kind. He needs to take a few more clues from the streamers he copies traits from, like Vinesauce, and know when to shut the fuck up.
