TOR is so easy that I taught my whole family how to use it, and they all still use CDs for car music, to put it in perspective.maybe take a step back from being the ooperator for a month or two, and try new maybe learning a neat skill through a hobby, it took me almost 2 years to get the gem faceting dialed in. Maybe banana peppers 2.0, or splicing. Fruit trees together? My apple cherry tree is getting plums added at the end of winter, new innovations make it so you can graft them in a day.

TBH is the farms leaves the clearnet and is just accesible on Tor, I'm out.
I can use Tor if I wanted to, but the truth is I dont want too. If pursuing "free speech" or whatever is done here now requires me to use the same network as hardcore pedophiles, terrorists, criminal organizations and drug operations, is a hard no. In a situation where allies can't be garnered, defense can't be mustered, and a counter-attack cannot (legally) be made, the question becomes: how to increase collateral damage so that it insults someone with power. Then they will use their resources to quash the problem regardless of their sympathies to you.
If it were me I would just Monero the botnet to directly attack something that a relevant security agency cares about - like their illegal honeypot websites - compelling the agency to then dismantle the botnet, or at least dissuade their CI's from pouring funds into it. But that's an extralegal solution.
A retard is firing free artillery shells your direction; can you stand next to some neutral (or hated) third party, to make it their problem? I take it redirecting a DDoS attack is treated legally as initiating your own attack - but maybe you can position some infrastructure so that when it is attacked, the bystanders hit in the explosion can themselves exert vengeance, or have their appeals to authority heard? Or maybe there is a way to shape the incoming attack so it comes through a specific route that no one wants gummed up - like forcing an enemy through a narrow pass and unfriendly territory to reach you. The FBI may not care, but other services from other countries can get involved.
Telling people this will be a future problem for them never works, making it a current problem for them always works.
