Unfortunately the farms has another kryptonite besides DDOS attacks.

The propaganda has just been too effective. At the end of the day this is a legal gossip forum. But in the clearnet every major site demonizes this place.

My point being that no matter how much good this site has done and is doing, everyone outside the internet gossip circles thinks this site is doing what the people DDoSing are.

In other words even big name, famous and powerful people would hesitate and wouldn't want to be associated with this place. Including all the youtubers that profit from the posts here, and then pretend not to browse this site.

Even Elon who mostly agrees with this site's culture would hesitate. It's not just DDoS. The reputation battle has been lost. That's why when we lost Cloudfate the rest of the internet just shrugged.

what if somehow accessing the site was like a torrent and a part of it is downloaded to someones pc that way it is kept up forever via p2p. Again this is all theoretical but hey think of how many ancient games servers still exist because things are set up that way. I dunno...my site hosting knowledge is merely basic.

Ive always had in the back of my mind a crazy idea but can wikipedia be sued for reputation damage? Think of how many times someone just showing the wikipedia page to some rando ends up fucking over the site. we ALL know the result of death rumors on there are false.
