I understand KF being on the clearnet is very important, but as long as its got Tor people can just screenshot the KF page of whatever lolcow/pedo/tranny/whatever the fuck along with linking the page (like they mostly already do)

For now. Null has already stated that he has given up on the site. I give it about 3-4 months before he shuts it down for good.
 
If and when this is over, Null should try to get billionaires and politicians to support the farms. There's fucking looksmaxxers who can get in touch with those people. Maybe a marketing company could help? Also we need our own zoomer e-celeb. I'm not trolling nigga, network with important people.

The Kiwi Farms is known for lolcow content but there are subcommunities here that track sex criminals, pedophiles active in grooming and terrorism, and animal crush pornographers. As of the last few months, I have noticed these antagonist groups have found each other and coalesced. So, I have reached the end of my capabilities. I need DDoS mitigation and I cannot create it from thin air. There is no software I can write, no vibes I can put out, to make several hundred gigabits of attack traffic disappear. I also can't afford it. I wouldn't be able to afford it with three times the numbers of donors we currently have. We're talking about needing pipes and hardware that would start in the tens of thousands of dollars every month.

Even with that money, I wouldn't know where to put it. What datacenter can touch us? What T1 ISP is willing to sell us a terabit of traffic? I don't know and I have not been able to figure it out in years. I've known this entire time, since Cloudflare dropped us, that overwhelming network attack traffic would bring us down and in that time I have found no solution. It is simply beyond my means in every possible way. I do not have the millions of dollars needed to build-your-own-Cloudflare. Matthew Prince knew that as well, which is why he wrote an article saying as much before reversing on it.

Honestly? Just find a few small places that I find cater to my interests. And outside of that, just do some stuff that doesn't require being on the Internet. The same folks that attack Kiwi Farms are probably the ones who think the world ends if some social network goes down for five minutes.

That's pretty much what the nu-internet (shit like Tiktok, Twitter, and Youtube) is, with its feeds, algorithms, and infinite content scrolls. long gone are the days of people posting content for other people to discover, share, and engage with, its now all about creating media addictions and eroding as much personal agency as possible in the consumption of content. Companies do non-stop experimentation and AB testing on their users to find out what features let them extract the most engagement time they can from their users, converting that into money from also interspersing advertisements within said content.

The days of the people-orientated internet is already long behind us, and the last stragglers who won't "progress" into our brave, stunning, and sanitized nu-internet are going to be DDoS'd, sued, spammed, and enshittified into oblivion.

Frankly, this is the internet the vast majority of people deserve for their obsessive consumerism and lack of standards. It just sucks that we're stuck along for the ride to hell. Maybe those meshtastic people or the tor project can get on with fixing things so the last normal internet users can at least retire in peace on some splinternet.
