DC Comics Multimedia General - A crisis of infinite fuck ups

Almost every time Iris was on screen it made my blood boil and it was her actions that did that. I liked Joe, I really wish she hadn't been in the show and we had just gotten more scenes of Barry and Joe working together.
Still not as bad as Felicity from Arrow. A key plotpoint in a crossover is that she inadvertedly causes Vandal Savage to win because she whined about her fiance not telling her about the son he didn't even know he had.
Having a sidekick or Alfred is one thing. But Can you imagine how terrible the Battison or Nolan films would be of they had a soap opera style "team Batman" behind them?

It might work for some heroes, even Batman has had Oracle helping him. But the CW over used this format as as a lazy crutch.
Worst part was when Supergirl gradually got her own team with heroes like Martian Manhunter, Guardian, Brainiac, and Dreamer, they decided to go by the "Super Friends". Yes, seriously.
that was the big difference between Goku and Superman was Goku had kids and then had to go train and fight and save the world and be dead and shit but he had kids to worry about too
I think part of why Super focused more on Goku's home life was to stop all the "Goku's a bad dad" memes DBZA helped popularize.
Batwoman had an episode where a teenage hacker got a slap on the wrist after committing terrorist acts because she got outed as lesbian before telling her intolerant parents. She also whined about having no representation, which led to Batwoman publicly revealing she munches carpets.
In hindsight, it's hilarious how much The CW was banking on Batwoman being a success. Arrow was coming to an end, so they needed a new cowl to fill his role. In the Crisis on Infinite Earths adaptation, they dragged her into a conflict where most of the heroes had years or even decades of experience, and really tried to act like she was on the same footing as the other heroes. Not only did they try to set up a World's Finest friendship with Supergirl, they killed off Kevin Conroy's only live-action portrayal of Bruce Wayne to hype her up as one of the seven Paragons to save the multiverse, and even made her one of the founding members of the Arrowverse's Justice League.

Buuuuut then COVID cut Batwoman's first season short before Ruby Rose left during production, so the writers had to scramble to craft together a replacement Batwoman nobody really cared about, and the show petered out after its third season.

The CW DC shows were terrible when it came to morality. Batwoman had an episode where a teenage hacker got a slap on the wrist after committing terrorist acts because she got outed as lesbian before telling her intolerant parents. She also whined about having no representation, which led to Batwoman publicly revealing she munches carpets. Gotham Knights would justify stealing from a luxurious clothing store because the clothes were made with child labor.
The amount of mental gymnastics the show went through to justify Batwoman letting multiple mass murdering psychos get away scot-free is almost impressive. "Poison Ivy? We'll book you a nice vacation to a jungle. Alice? You're like crack for try hard teenage disaster girls, so we will make up every excuse to let you go even when the only main characters left are the people who you traumatized and/or butchered the loved ones of."

You can tell the writers of CW Supergirl struggled to figure out if Kara and Lena should fuck or not because this was such wasteful shit right here. They could have spend more time developing Kara instead of this and the blatant SJW propaganda.

Speaking of IDW. The creator casually drops beneath the trees where nobody sees he was told his book is helping to keep IDW alive because there’s no licensing fees during a recent interview. The setting becoming a shared universe starting with the Halloween special. The Lex Luthor vs Samatha Strong fight one of the few things people liked about the DC KO event.

Isn't the MC bad enough to make the thing bad? Plus a rushed ending?
No, Deku is fine, he's a Peter Parker/Luke Skywalker expy (the star wars motif in My Hero is fucking huge) and he goes from an unsure cry baby to a courageous crybaby where getting both his arms blown off doesn't deter him from his final battle.

however, there are even better supporting main cast than him that make up for any problems you could have with Deku, such as Katsuki Bakugo, who clearly got the best animated episode of the entire show and one of the best villain stompings of all time complete with calling him a retard to his face.

Superman and Lois was the best show they did. Once they got Superman away from the Supergirl writers and in his own universe it was great. Don't watch him in any of the other shows, the show he has on his own is much better and has a protuction team that didn't have much to do with the other CW shows.

Start with the pilot movie, it sets up the rest of the show.

It really is a great show and I wish they would have just made this version of Superman's family the one in the movies instead of giving us yet another reboot by James Gunn.

This is tied with Lois and Clark as my favorite Superman TV show. Oh, and they didn't race swap Lex, that is a fake out.
We seem to have a lot of people around who hate-watched Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl to the bitter end but won't check out Superman and Lois because they read it was woke or something. I'd rather claw my own brain out of my skull than sit through a whole episode of any CW show other than S&L.

Ditto, I only watched those shows because CW was the only station that was coming in where I lived and there were no internet where I lived. So it was DvDs and whatever was on CW. That being said I think most of the shows were well cast and would have worked with S&L level writing, it's a shame some of these actors were stuck with what they were stuck with.

On the bright side Who's Line is it anyway and Fool Us were always great tv.

I was so glad when internet lines finally came to my house.

Superman and Lois is up there with Netflix Daredevil as one of my favorite superhero shows and it isn't woke and more people should watch it and it has a realistic depiction of what small town USA these days and I say that as someone from a small town, Smallville is alot like the town I live in.

Ah yes, Superman and Lois, the show that made a point of Steel not being a guy Clark saved and for him it was everything while for Clark it was Tuesday, giving a regretful and lost man a hand in more than just the literal, showing the individual impact Superman has.

No, make him multiverse nonsense and for added fetishism, he fucked his universe’s Lois and sired an abomination, it was an evil Superman too. He’s also wearing a DOOM suit. Then, this abomination lives on the farm, with the mutt daughter.

Show sucked and had a cuck fetish, making a point that Lara-El was also a whore and had a kid before she met Jor-El.

Edit: Oh and I forgot Doomsday again, but not Doomsday, no they repeated the BvS nonsense of Doomsday having to be evolved from someone, in this case Bizarro but because this is a “serious” show, it’s not really Bizarro and is just Ultraman but lame.

It'd be pretty funny if Kara and Lena actually got together and Superman gets the widest grin on his face when telling Lex his sister is fucking his cousin.

Okay, I am getting sick of your racist idiocy.

The only problem you have with Hitler is he didn't go far enough.

I bet if we tested your DNA you wouldn't be racially pure enough to pass your own standards to be on TV.

I am just blocking you
Yes. Burn the coal, pay the toll

It’s fetishism and I won’t stand for it.

wrong

So skip it? I saw parts of season 1. It gets worse?
Yeah, you can feel the budget cut near the end.

It wears the skin of the beloved Rebirth era but it’s CW slop through and through. Unless you like Jor-El being cucked, a lame version of the best rogues (the show’s Eradicator hurt my soul) and a retread of Death and Return.

Then they both realize they will have to sit across from each other at Thanksgiving dinner and shudder.
Lex: Please pass the gravy, you alien freak.
Clark: With pleasure, you corporate scumbag.
Lex: So how's work been? Put any hardworking humans out of a job?
Clark: You mean those same underpaid humans who you hired to create a red sun death ray?
Martha: Would anyone like some pie?
Clark: Of course, Ma.
Lex: Cherry would be great, Mrs. Kent.

Now I want to watch that movie.
