Oh you didn’t know?
Superman plays nice with China, New 52 Superman in his last days let them clone him and didn’t kill the abomination in the womb. Superman let a commie regime clone him, the strongest thing on the planet. When the right thing to do would be to kill the thing.
Regular Supes speaks Kenan’s “language” and of course the little knockoff never speaks English.
I’d pay good money for Superman to whoop their gay monkey god.
Jaja yaeh, So, Ares and Poseidon already exist as personalities of Wonder Woman and Aquaman... although that "problem" only exists in our imagination when the Joker goes to Metropolis to be humiliated by Superman, or when Batman interferes in the stories of other DC heroes, just like Hulk sneaking into other movies even though he barely has his own MCU trilogy.
I mean, a lot of talk about "Last Son of Krypton," but there's no problem with other powers cloning him, knowing how messed up it would be, simply because they can do it.
DC and Marvel both have a problem with villains and their powers, they all lack the ability to wrap their heads around powers that aren't just "bigger beams " or "stronger punch", and while those can work, what makes a villain terrifying and capitivating is actions, motivations, and powers that are outside of convention and require something to be overcome.
For this, they should look to the Nips, who regularly think up whacky, offbeat, terrifying and interesting powers and motivations for villains.
More reasons why Batman is relatively the best DC Comics franchise: the simple fact that its villains have more motifs, lore, and a wider variety of methods and powers would be too "fanciful" for the rest of the series. Anyone could just power-scale "X anime character" against Superman.
I feel that Superman himself limited DC because the universe became filled with Superman clones, both metaphorical and literal. This also affects Marvel, considering that the rogues' gallery they have—Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, and others—is quite limited in themes beyond "the hero theme, evil clones of the protagonists, and villains of other heroes." Then we have Punisher and his small rogues' gallery beyond "Batman to kill this week." Spider-Man and Batman's rogues' galleries aren't as full of evil spies, nor are they limited to their "spider" and "detective" themes.
Correct. And this is something that is rarely discussed in trade media about the movie industry. That these big blockbuster releases that fail often have massive losses in merchandise. Star Wars recent properties have contributed to entire landfills of craps toys and products. Who knows how much Supergirl and Flash chink factory made junk is just deteriorating in garbage dumps.
Of course, there were also the overhead costs of merchandise licensing, advertising, and other expenses, which ironically could end up costing more than the film itself. This might make Superman seem like a low-budget project compared to what, according to "sources," "just the film" cost.
