Claiming Snyder's Superman doesn't save people just proves ypu never watched the movie

I was referring to the courtoom scene actually, were he didn't bother to save them. Or I guess it was too fast for Superman? I am critiquing Snyder's Superman not just the man of steel movie.

Again you are misreading. Thinking Gunn's Superman is slightly better than Snyder doesn't mean I am a Gunn fanboy, and that I think he is flawless and will defend every flaw he has.

If I had to chose between Gunn and Snyder's I would choose Chrisopher Reeve anyday

You keep referring to this "evil Superman", but are you only getting this from the Knightmare part? What corroborates this idea for you if otherwise?

No. I said evil superman fad era not "Snyder's superman". For a time evil superman was all the rage. Of course Gunn's Superman stood out compared to all of those.

I was hoping you would bring up that scene.

You watched a clip out of context and don't understand slow motion.

First it is the US capital building and not a court house.

Second he can't see the bomb because it is in a wheelchair incased in led and lets say he reacected to that. This assumes he is always uses his xray vission all the time(something the movies make clear he doesn't do) and he would have to assume there is a bomb in the chair. Why would he assume this when he doesn't know Lex is plotting against him and it is Batman and not him who just found the link between the man in the wheelchair and Lex Luthor?

The slow motion scene is the split second the bomb goes off, it is slow mothing not real time. The very next cut is of him saving people and flying them out of the building for medical attention.

It is clear you have never sat down and watched the movies and seen these scenes in context so I am done debating you.

Nope! They did not have good intentions! Killing billions of innocents for that is not good intentions. It is selfish.

I mean yeah villains do evil things. But many villains think they are doing them for good reasons. In Zod's mind he was rescuing his dead world. In Snyder's didn't kill people because he was evil and felt like killing billions for the sake of it.

There is a difference between intention an action.

Obviously killing billions is bad.. But a good villain can rationalize it.

I wasn't debating you.

I am just confused why you think I love Gunn when I have been very critical of him too

But no I still don't buy this Superman wasn't fast enough to save even a single person. He has superspeed and is almost as fast as flash.

The movie even contains the line "The only way someone else will not find you is for you to stop saving people, I get the feeling that isn't an option for you." Yet for some reason people think Cavil's Superman doesn't save people.
I feel like the issue I have with Snyder Superman is that someone needed to shock Snyder when he was being retarded. I feel like Man of Steel went way too fast. Snyder in general was not given a far shake and despite his bad choices, I like his intent of showing Clark as a good man struggling with what to do.

I don’t hate Clark killing Zod, but the moral dilemma was hilariously absurd “I’m gonna laser them to death Clark! They are right there!” Like it would’ve been better if Zod was spitefully disengaging from the fight to try to kill non-combatants because he couldn’t hurt Clark and Clark realizing that he has to kill Zod in that moment or people could die, people who are bystanders and ultimately only at risk because Clark crash landed on Earth decades ago. Instead it’s basically one moment where there are alternatives. It’s my issue with Snyder Superman, it’s failed execution.

This is why I think you can't tell any stories with modern Superman. Superman can undo all wrongs on his own and nothing is a challenge and there is no story to tell.

Superman needs to be returned to his original form where he can leap, not fly. Run fast, but not super fast. Is bullet proof, but explotions can take him down. He is strong, but struggles to stop a runaway train. Go back to what he was before they added an insane number of super powers.

It is impossible to tell any story because nothing is a threat to modern Superman and he can just run back in time to undo any deaths. There are no stakes.

bizzaro supes exists. and batman. and apokolipse.

what doesnt exist are good writers.

Eh instead of getting into a debate I will just say: Can't you be critical of both without being considered a fanboy of either,? Both had issues just different ones .

I will admit that this movie was and still is a dumpster fire. It honestly felt like a precursor to Gunn’s DCU in some areas.

I saw this movie in theaters the summer before my freshman year in high school and I was left unimpressed. I never knew years later this was supposed to be WB’s launching pad for a DC cinematic universe, but the movie bombed so they tried again with Man of Steel two years later.

But honestly just imagine if Gunn had did this version. It would have been more obnoxious on the humor with Ryan Reynolds’s tired sarcastic Everyman persona and even though it was 2011, he would have shoehorned in some Obama era politics.

Ver archivo adjunto 9208001If the DC merged happened. You can blame it on supergirl flopping.
james gunn leaching off matt reeeve's credibility wouldn't be too surprising but with gunn's ego I think he'd prefer his own "quirky" batman with batmite and a whole host of other insufferable shit.

Gunn's 'the brave and the bold' would make the 60s show look like No Country For Old Men by comparison.

A bigger flop than The Marvels and Morbius? LMAO.

James Gunn's little egotistical experiment is done. I called it after seeing his unwatchable Superman movie a year ago: The DCU is going to have a shorter life than the Snyderverse. No way does Paramount continue with this guy now.

Snyder Bros must be feeling real smug right now, lol. Sure, most of those movies sucked, but the Snyder Bros have at least won some Ws over the years.

I am by no means claiming that this is a good movie.

But I've seen much worse since, to be honest. Green Lantern is hardly the worst comic book movie, despite its reputation.

Also, at least this movie isn't fucking ashamed of the color GREEN.

I honestly don't hate that movie.
