I searched for it and didn't find a Daym Drops thread, so I figured I would make one.

Daymond Patterson, better known as Daym Drops, is an American food critic and internet personality. He is most known for his Five Guys Burger and Fries review, which, as of 2024, sits at 12 million views. He has also hosted several TV shows, including Best Daym Takeout and Fresh Fried and Crispy.
Humble Beginnings

Daym Drops was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Not much is known about Daym's early life besides the fact he worked at many different places, including Walmart and Carmax. Daym, I assume, had a normal childhood and later began making YouTube videos.
Rise to Stardom

Daym like any other day, uploaded a food review of five guys' burgers and fries. He had not thought anything of it. He uploaded it and, in his own words, his video had gone from about 16,000 views to 70,000. views, then it snowballed from there.
“I remember going to bed on a Monday evening. I was only at 2,400 subscribers and 230,000 channel views, but I woke up on Tuesday morning and looked at my phone: My inbox is just email after email after email after email, all the way down—all of it coming off of one video. Sure enough, I take a look and track it back to the ‘Five Guys Burgers and Fries.’

That particular video had started out at only about 16,000 views, but by the next morning it was all the way up to 70,000.

I’m over clicking away like, ‘Oh my goodness, baby. Check this out!’

I’m over there trying to get my wife awake, and she’s saying, ‘Boy, won’t you let me go back to sleep?’

It’s crazy, but through the course of that Tuesday, those numbers kept jumping. 70,000 became 120,000. 120,000 became 170,000. It was like over 200,000 before the end of Tuesday night, and it kept going throughout the course of the week. Because the numbers jumped up fast, out grabbed the attention of the Gregory Brothers, and that just took it to a whole other level for me.”

The video reached new heights after Schyomo, also known as the Gregory brothers, remixed his video into a song called OH MY DAYUM This remix of his five guys review as of 2024 sits at 48 million views. After this video went viral, Daym would appear on TV shows like Jimmy Fallon and would begin hosting his own TV show Best Daym Takeout. He collaborated with other viral food stars, such as epic meal time and has enjoyed success ever since, but there was one problem.
Health Scares

Daym from his overconsumption of unhealthy food is diabetic. His first major health scare came in 2016 when his doctors warned him to stop eating fast food as he had started having health problems. As a result of this, Daym made a video announcing the end of his food reviews called GOODBYE FOOD REVIEWS He would later return to fast food reviews but started incorporating healthier options and eating smaller portion sizes. He later had another scare this year in 2024 in a video he released titled My Doctor WARNED Me! (Health Update) In which he discusses his life being diabetic and warns others not to follow his path.

Although his YouTube popularity slowly faded, Daym found success in other ventures. Daym hosted a Netflix show in 2021 called Fresh Fried and Crispy where he reviews food. He also starred in another Netflix show called Is It Cake. He was later nominated for an Emmy for his performance in Fresh Fried and Crispy. He still does regular food reviews, with his worst foods review series getting millions of views in which he reviews the worst rated restaurants on Google. His views can vary from a couple of thousand to millions depending on the review. He also collaborates with fellow viral food Youtuber Badlands Chugs

One of the only lolcow things I remember was his appearance on PKA where he said Donald Duck was racist or something like that, but I don't blame him; he's a black guy from a blue state who probably doesn't even bother with looking into politics.
 
I actually enjoy Daym more than review brah. Since Review brah is always very Cordial and relaxing his videos can be pretty sleep inducing for me. Daym has just enough energy to be fun and hype without the retardation. He really is a perfect mix of Review brah and Joey's world tour with the energy and content.

I think he tried that before at the behest of his wife and it didn't get much views. People want to see fast food slop.
