Ballpits are kind of creepy. The ones in the kiddie internment camps are always filled with crap that kids dropped in there, and you just know that there's a dirty diper lurking in there. I always wondered if anyone's ever died in a fast food ballpit. Like, an employee goes in there to get high, ODs, and slips under the balls. All the disinfectant they spray in there to keep it "clean" would cover up the smell, until one day a few weeks later some five year old stumbles across the body.

I read about the trainwreck that is Dashcon(ned) on tumblr. I didn't even hear about it until Monday (and I also thought it was another Brony con).

There are people defending it, too, but their so-called valid points were just basically, "But I had fun there!!" Okay, fair enough I suppose, but you can't argue that Dashcon wasn't a total scam… on top of being a joke. I mean, they handed hotel mints as prizes for that "Guess That Anime" panel.

I'm trying to find the masterposts on Dashcon about different people's experiences and thoughts. Sadly tumblr is being uncooperative at the moment.

Actually many people were complaining that the hotel didn't have enough multiple gender bathrooms, even the convention staff told them that it wasn't possible for them to have so many different gender bathrooms.

Next year instead of ball pit, just a room full of extremely gender specific porta-potties. No extra hours for cis-persons.

From what I've gathered, there was a scheduled "exploring bdsm" that devolved into an orgy that some participants elected not to wear protection during. That said I don't think wrapping up protects you from crabs.
