I realize this is bullshit, but I am going to go ahead and believe that even when they were off visiting the Space Needle or getting married or whatever, Kat was still wandering off to find Jim for hours at a time.

Wait what? Isn't that why he takes "off work" every Tuesday? Because that's Kat's day off? So they can spend all day running errands together?

So is DSP saying that it doesn't count as spending time with Kat if she goes to her room and plays video games?

Literally, what the fuck is he talking about?
 
In my feverish sleep, moments before I woke up. I had a dream about Phil, only lasted a minute or two, but it was that his father had just died and he went to the funeral in a traditional "italian mourning robe" then got furious that everyone kept saying he wore a dress to the funeral.

Was it a dream in the last moments of my fitful sleep or a prophecy?

like phil would go to a funeral
 
If Phil's dad died he would spend 5 minutes remembering his dad and then tell us a 30 minute story about what kind of food there was at the wake.

Knowing dark it means he doesn’t count it as spending time tougher unless they are sitting on the couch all day.

He’s described doing stuff like showering before kat gets home after steam like it wasn’t “me time” he considers making a meal together as him running around between stream or busting his ass.

If dark is not planted on his couch downstairs, he puts some mental road block in his head from considering whatever he’s doing as relaxing

Phil is the type of person who won't call his dates "dates" unless he and Kat are doing exactly what he wants. Think about all the times he hung out with Leanna when they were together: if Phil wants to go to Seattle, they're going to Seattle. They go eat at places he wants to eat at (which mostly amount to Italian restaurants), go to all the kiddie sites he wants to see (like the zoo; really Phil?) and watch all the movies he wants to watch.

But when you're dating someone who's pretty much a homebody who stays inside all day and plays OVerwatch (a game that Phil obviously hates), then they aren't doing that. But hey, Kat! There's this awesome Chinese restaurant! You wanna go spend the money these dumb fans gave me and eat there? Debt? What debt? ACK ACK ACK

This kind of controlling behavior is common with narcissists, especially ones in a relationship. They won't go anywhere or do anything with their significant other unless they're able to retain some iota of control in the relationship. They have control over where they go on dates, what to watch, where to eat. It's never fun hanging out with anyone who puts their own self interests above others, but it's far more obvious and far more toxic in relationships.

Maybe Kathy made him wear a funeral kimono because of how much she loves Japan and used to pretend she lived there. I bet Kathy would bring funeral potatoes because of what a traditional Midwest girl she is.
