EDIT: I forgot to point out that in today's first prestream, Phil said that there is a meme name for his Blackout gameplay - people call him The Mad Shitter because he sits in bathrooms. Phil finds this funny.
He finds it funny because he called himself that. He's trying to force a meme.

He just repeatedly told someone to calm down after they criticized him for playing Dark Souls again instead of changing it up. Phil claims he 'never said he was playing Dark Souls again'. He's just considering it. I really, really wonder where people got the idea that he was playing Dark Souls again.

Well we know why he's gonna reset tips total between streams. He's made 83 bucks before paypal cut in less than 30 minutes.

Tellingly, he's been having a shitty night of gameplay so far and yet has been very positive.... hmm...

I think he enjoys getting away with it because Phil just wants the money. I'm sure it's a dominance thing. They get to break rules and make Phil say things that he ostensibly hates, but he tolerates their presence out of greed. It is kind of degrading. That subwoofer cheer was a reference to Kat. That was pretty much the holy grail of troll cheers because they managed to get Phil to read that out loud in full and then uncomfortably wallow in it for a minute.

To be fair, we've already seen the Phil that has more money than he knows what to do with. We saw him waste the money on gaming statues, two lemon computers that he does not know how to use, a website that has more trolls than actual users, a move across the country, a mortgage for an empty condo on the other side of the country that he refuses to rent out or do anything with, brand new cars that mostly just sat in the garage and never had the oil changed, a house full of furniture, "business class" internet that doesn't work properly, a green screen that saw use maybe once or twice and is rotting away somewhere, a guy to install blinds in the house, multiple fans for his "office" because he didn't realize his house didn't come with AC and doesn't know opening the giant window would accomplish the same goal as the fans, numerous expensive headphones because he's constantly breaking them, countless blu-rays of movies from his childhood that he can reminisce about like a boomer to his audience of teenagers, every popular streaming service available to watch more of his boomer movies and shows, hundreds of dollars every month on shitty pay-to-win mobile games, staycations at expensive hotels 20 minutes away from his house, moving a horse across the country, buying that horse a full wardrobe and brand new phone, overpriced frozen meals or going out to a restaurant every day because the horse stopped cooking for him, a 4k TV that he doesn't use for any 4K purpose and didn't even fix the "lag" problem he claimed it was for, a PS4 Pro he just had to have because he got jealous his horse got one, a $250 trash can (how fitting), and that's just shit I can name off the top of my head. I'm sure there's way more shit he's squandered his fortune on that we don't know about.

But yes, it's time for the writers to finally get to the "Phil is actually broke and needs to sell his house" season already.

Phil's old doctor must be the brother of his old accountant. I cannot imagine a doctor advising a patient as young as D$P was to not do any exercise because of one herniated disk in his back. If it was that serious as to exclude all forms of exercise it would have required surgery to fuse the disk.

I’ve been thinking about this and the sheer number of individuals or companies that have ‘fucked him over’ throughout the years - and have come to one conclusion based on pretty readily available evidence:

Phil doesn’t listen. He doesn’t pay attention, ask questions, do his research or take the time to focus on what he’s being told. We’ve all seen him lambast a game for not telling him about a specific mechanic - often explained in thorough detail previously - while he’s mashing X to get through tutorials at break neck speed.

‘How was I supposed to know that’ he’ll cry - with the obvious answer ‘because you were fucking told to’.

His tax man probably said ‘Reluctantly I’ll do your taxes when you move to Seattle but I’m not totally up to speed with their way of doing things - maybe check their B&O terms and get back to me’. Phil only heard the words ‘I’ll do your taxes.’

In this instance his doctor probably said ‘Don’t do any exercise that may make your back pain worse’ and Phil heard ‘dont’t exercise - make back worse’ like some sort of caveman.

Instead he saves nothing, spends everything he has on bullshit as if he's rich, calculates a couple of month before tax day arrives what he should have saved and our beg-a-thon takes place. And because he repeats this cycle, his income increased every year and he has to pay more taxes. So basically more taxes every year cuz he's unable to put some money to the side.

At least this is what I scrab together from Dave's narrative. If that's roughly correct, I wonder if he bought his financial / business degree from a gumball machine.

DSP doesn't see taxes as a percentage of his gross income; he sees them as a yearly bill he has to pay. That's why he keeps complaining that the bill increases when his income increases.
