I feel like he'd be in such a better spot if he had just never left CT. All the highs and lows of Youtube, Twitch, whatever the fuck, he'd be fine if he just stayed in CT.

The desire to leave CT is about the only thing I can't really blame Phil for, but it was foolish to flee all the way across the country. He and Leanna should have stayed in the Northeast, maybe Vermont or upstate NY. Altogether avoiding the costs of moving to the other coast and refurnishing as much as they did. They would have had easier access to both families, John Rambo and any other friends, and Phil could have kept tabs on the kahndo himself. He'd have been better off, despite the higher taxes in most of the region.

If it was a court settlement (and sued implies at least some kind of case, even if it was a formality), and the settlement stipulated a doctor's examination to get or keep getting the money, Phil's running off would have amounted to a default judgement for whoever he was going against (either the person who caused the accident or their insurance company).

Yeah, I threw out the medical examination scenario as the best example I could think of without experience with settlements and their payments. My idea was some sort of formality at the end of possibly 10-years of being paid compensation (since it happened in about 2004 and he hurriedly moved in 2014.) I meant a sorta court-ordered tail-end examination where it would be judged if such-and-such had changed after a decade. It could be found out that he had been fine for the past, say, 8 years, maybe collecting compensation from the government as well, or whatever... Again, this isn't really my field of expertise

Her boyfriend was probably fine (I'd be surprised if he wasn't blue collar but people have talked with him so I'll try not to speculate too much.)

Then along comes fancy ass Phil flaunting the rich streamer lifestyle. It's not hard to see how a slow girl like Kat might be seduced, if Phil is a full time YouTube celebrity he must be successful just like Pewdiepie! After all, he has his own house.

If anything, her being stupid (and she is stupid, unless something later proves me wrong) just made it easier for Phil to sweet talk her into ditching her boyfriend. She lacks the critical thinking to really consider the downside to cheating on her boyfriend or notice the multiple red flags Phil should throw up.

Her ex can do better, he should be thankful Phil took the horse off his hands. Small town Michigan (and the Midwest in general) breeds a particularly dense type of useless thot. Kat will continue to drift from man to man until one knocks her up and even then its just as likely she keeps on cluelessly swapping baby daddies around because she's too dumb to get a good boyfriend and too brainless to not just follow along the newest sweet talker who claims he'll give her a better deal.

He's probably straight up kept it a secret because he doesn't want people to know. What kinda throws a kink into all of this is an Ask the King where Phil claims he doesn't know why his back got messed up it just started hurting one day. He even says "it's not like I was in a car accident or anything." He also claimed it was from playing football with some friends. Now i'm not familiar with the law in these cases, but is it common for there to be an NDA like clause in a settlement for something like this. While a case is pending I know you shouldn't say anything, but afterwords people have talked about much bigger cases then something as trivial as this. I could imagine something like not saying the persons name involved in the accident, but not being able to say anything about it seems strange to me.

If it happened today i'd buy it because people fuck with Phil all the time. Like @Haunter said Kat's ex is probably being hit with a tism bomb right now, but if this happened pre Youtube or the first year or two of Youtube he didn't have as severe of a negative following as the last few years and wasn't crying poor as much as today. Guess this is just the constant problem with Phil. Did he lie to his audience, Airraidlord, or everyone?

In the context of the screenshot of the conversation that appears to be something Kat told her ex-boyfriend about Phil. Maybe some shit Phil made up while he was flashing wads of bills during trips to Ikea and fast food places, maybe something Kat made up to try to hurt her ex when she got caught; maybe the guy himself finding out Phil has a business degree and reading things into it on his own, the guy does preface it with 'from what I gather' and goes on to say 'money obviously isn't an issue for him[Phil]' but he may just be basing this on Kat shit-talking him after Phil was flashing cash at her at dropping thousands on plane tickets so I wouldn't assume her Ex is a reliable source on Phil.
Kat probably wanted him to think she was trading up, not moving into a serious adult GoutHouse to be the scullery maid for a dude who's house of cards was 1 snort away from bankruptcy.

He's certainly not gotten the double-triple numbers he wants, and i'd be shocked if that number doesn't start slowly decreasing again as more people get fed up or just get bored.

Tbh because Patreon you cannot see who I would not be surprised if its his die hards doing it like swagginz etc they really are deluded as hell at this point. He does not want to put any effort to change his content as that would mean Youtube wins because they managed to make him change. You can tell they have declined his appeal they never do with adsense TOS violations its almost like defrauding money from a corp would piss them off.

As for his pre streams he needs them because that is where at least 80% of his money comes from. Is Phil smart fuck no he has found some exceptional autistics in a dark corner of the internet and has been extorting them for years.
