"And that's my mentality moving forward too! Fuck off to those who want to fucking mess with my life. And as you've seen they're never going to change that"

DSP's response to the most damning and conclusive evidence that he is spending more than half his money on gatcha and booze, that was already pretty conclusive - Fuck off! I'm just going to keep on pushing forward. Absolutely 0 chance of Phil turning his life around.

Edit: PS- DSP is drunk as shit on stream rn.

It's definitely incredibly unhealthy to drink a fucking cup of gin a day and you'd definitely feel like absolute dogshit 24/7 but it wont make you like, fall over drunk. Dude probably really just needs antidepressants.
Gins not too terrible for ya, however at the rate he coonsomes just about everything let’s be Hahnest here. It ain’t one cup that fits in that thermos of his

He tried to justify his move to Washington with claims that he would be close the FGC of the west coast. Years after he stopped interacting with them and long after he ever competed.

He was never going to do anything with them based on a conversation he talked about with a contact at machinima and was only going to focus on his videos. After they tried to talk him into using his fame to move away from just YouTube.
Real tawk as a pacific northwest native there is zero reason unless you are working a tech job or work for boeing to move in or around the Seattle area. It's a rainy, gloomy, depressing, drug fueled (Meth and heroin are the big two) town with a massive homeless issue. Renton is a painfully generic suburb that could be anywhere in the US that's safer and 1/3 of the cost like people have said here. Phil never goes outside so any of the beauty of hiking or seeing nature is pointless. The man chose to live in an overpriced suburb of a shithole city where they won't arrest violent meth addicts roaming around. He moved 3000 miles to live in a cookie cutter condo in the suburb of a shithole city.

William Hogarth knew gin was the wrong drink.

There are many ways to be an alcoholic, Dave would fit into the functioning alcoholic category, well as functional as Dave is able to be but that's another can of worms.

When you say alcoholic most ''normal'' people think of the types hanging our around bus sheds and other public areas looking all dirty and filthy.

But somebody that holds down a job that has 1-2 beer/glasses of wine at lunch, and maybe a couple of drinks after work with the mates most days, then split a bottle of wine with the missus at dinner and 1-2 beers/drinks watching TV after. Totally not an alcoholic, because they have a waife, nice home and maybe even kids.
It's also worth considering that people are more likely to associate hard spirits with feelings of aggression, compared to something like wine or beer, food for thought

1.75L of liquor a week must seem pretty intense to normies, but that's really only a cup, 250mL a day, about 10 shots. Typical chronic alcoholic levels but nothing crazy. Most alkies will drink after work in a binge session, but spreading out 250mL over 12 hours would probably just keep you buzzed.

I can't imagine his existence stone sober, so it's not at all surprising. It'll catch up with him in his 50s and he's gonna keel over before 65 guaranteed.
I was going to say, as a heavy drinker myself 1.75L a week is just functional alcoholic levels. I just wanted to confirm that he definitely is not buying the fancy, tiny bottle of 10 or 15% liquor some people speculated based on his spending. And considering his spending is $90 a week at Total Wine, getting 1.75L of fairly cheap stuff, I'd guess he's crushing at least two a week.

Considering Phil's average Total Wine Spending was about $90, that is just about exactly what two 1.75L of Tanqueray of Gin costs at Total Wine plus tax and factoring in another nice thing for Kat to drink, like a decent bottle of wine or a 12 pack of something. However, considering the retail price of 27.99 for 1.75L of Tanqueray at Total Wine, Phil could theoretically be averaging about three 1.75L bottles a week by now. Being generous, it's likely just 1-2 at most plus some other booze to complete his average weekly purchase amount.

Another important thing to note, Tanqueray Gin is 47.3%, 7.3% stronger than what most would consider the cut off for hard liquor. Meaning even if it's only a single 1.75L of gin he's guzzling each week, it's equivalent to about 1.88L of whatever other hard liquor people here drink. It adds up especially if we speculate he's dipping into the second bottle range.

I'm tuned into @Piece of Peace 's restream right now and I just heard pigroach say that losing at the same Monkey Ball stage over and over is "mind numbing" and he's "glad the chat is there so he can have a conversation with them and that makes it better".

No, pigroach. Your stream is the only thing here that's mind numbing, and you don't talk with chat, you talk at them. Maybe the game will be less mind numbing for you when you actually numb it by slamming shots of gin during your break.

He's really fucking up at this stage, though; been on it for a seriously long time, and it's still the first half of the game. I hope I'm not too optimistic but I'm starting to suspect we got a game to rage quit eventually, here.

Are you not supposed to get all the coins/rings in Super Monkey Ball? Also he is slurring like crazy, I think he's sincerely hammered.
Bananas (rings for Sonic) are optional, just a challenge if you want to go for 100% completion; if all you're going for is just to beat the game, then getting to the goal is all you need to do.

Antidepressants aren't a magic bullet, you need to actively work on your mental health in order to get better. Unless Dave decides to inject pure opium into his eyeballs he's always going to be in a foul mood.
