Nothing is more disingenuous than Phil talking about "art."

I mean Phil had a fit that Divinity OS 2 didn't have animations and you had to use your imagination(which he has none).

This guy pretends to care about it, partly to seem "cultured" or "intelligent," but it just comes off as weird.

How lonely do you have to be in order to want Phil of all people to talk about a philosophical thought experiment? Phil has the intellectual depth of a spoon, what the fuck would anyone expect him to have to say about that?

I have a better experiment for Phil: the allegory of the cave, revisited.

Imagine that you are a streamer chained to your gaming chair and all of reality to you appears as texts on your stream chat, and the games you play. The only person you see is yourself, all else is just text and games.

You burp, fart, snort and scream, and nobody is there to tell you what's right or wrong. You see numbers telling you that money is coming in, and you associate that with the idea that you're doing everything right.

Now imagine that you broke free from your gaming chair and went outside. You see another human being and he greets you and asks why you're so pale. You then scurry away back to your awffice and tell the text on stream about your newfound knowledge of the world outside.

But they don't believe you. The text tells you that those must be lies, there's nothing but text and games in this world, nothing but text and games.

You then realize that you have a choice. You either choose the real world outside with the scary new things that you didn't know existed, or you go back to your old, comfortable life.

Finally, you gargle on some gin, put on your headphones and say: "What is up guys, DSP here...".

This kind of shit is what convinces me that Phil is actually delusional. As in, mentally deranged.

He actually thinks that he isn't to blame for the way people see him. All of the salt that happened literally yesterday night? Insulting developers and complaining about bad game design?

What a sad mental state Phil is at. He isolated himself so much from proper constructive feedback that he pignosed himself into believing his own lies. He created a cult and became a member of it. Really bizarre.

Agree with all of this, and I also think that he doesn't see himself as toxic because in his own delusional mind, he speaks the thruth and thus his rants are not toxic - they're true. Like he is the only one who sees through the big companies lies and are brave enough to call them out on their bad game designs and whatnot. It's honestly fucking fascinating
