Pretty sure that Phil will stay in that Wahkando till he strokes out on stream and Khat moves the Jim in with her.

Let’s review:

1: PHIL IS AN AUTIST

2: Last time he moved he had Leanna help him and push on.

3: Last time he moved, he spent tons of money and ended up paying for TWO khandos for years.

4: Even ignoring Phils immense laziness and “Muh back” (Let’s suppose his neighbors all show up one day and go: “Hey Phil! We hear you’re moving! We came to help you pack up everything and put in the the trucks!”) Phil would still remember how that original Seattle move went and go: “Nuh-uh! Ain’t doing that again!”

5: GOTO 1: Phil is an autist. And a hermit. In his mind the Wahkando is a picture of his success. It’s his “mahture ahdult house”. It doesn’t matter what the cost of living is, or if Phil could move to a place so white, he’ll never bite his nails again ever. He’s staying for as long as it’s possible.

Probably even to the point where he’d put himself in significant debt, waste all his equity and lose any chance of ever moving out of there making a profit.
TL;DR: Phil's autistic and warped vision of adulthood influences a lot of his decision making. He worries more about looking "mature" flexing his "victories" to his detractors than trying to make his lifestyle last longer.

its a good thing phil and leanna didnt move to texas because leanna wouldnt be able to just leave.
they would have been common law married and thus the government would have to step in on their separation.
though it would have been fun to see phil squirm when he has to pay alimony payments.
"hey Guys, my alimony is coming up. dont forget to tip"

Great video of the Kena meltdown from earlier

Phil's inability to learn, adapt, and overcome really shows his core attributes both in the game and out. Once he gets in his ways that's that and if it stops working then the game must be bugged or it must be the trolls. Seriously, look at his streams, where 13 years ago he decided "this is how you stream" and never once changed anything. If it's a good night it's because Phil is great, if it's a slow night it's because of some elusive external factor that has nothing to do with Phil. It can't be because he never tries doing basic stuff like interacting with his audience (respectfully / not begging), doing giveaways, doing multiplayer, etc. Now look at his unhealthy habits where every day he doordashes, streams, drinks, and blows his money on pictures of guys, rinse and repeat.

Same deal in game where he gets in these weird mindsets where he MUST be doing the optimal thing and just keeps banging his head against a wall until someone tells him what to do or he gets lucky. Part of the reason many people loved Divinity is because it is a game where you can really think outside the box and come up with some cool builds and combos. Poor Phil just wants to know what button to press or where to shoot to get the win, he can't handle experimenting and learning and iterating. Someone earlier suggested he might be on the spectrum and all I gotta say is it really makes you think.

Given what Texas's power grid has been through the last year, Texas would have proven to be the ultimate detractor when there were not only brownouts, but he was charged $10,000 a month for power use and no one at the power company looks at emails.

Texas and California are at least two states where Phil's career would be trolled to death by the environment itself.

I never understood his whole moving to seattle thing, it was just completely erratic behavior. How often does someone just decide to move thousands of miles away to a new city that isn't related to a job or to be closer to family/friends or something like that?

Like imagine if that was your son or someone in your family and they just randomly moved that far away from you for literally no reason, its like a slap in the face to the people that care about you.

Of course it is dsp so there's some obvious devious factors that went into it, like the state tax issue that just further highlights how money is more important to him than family/friends and also its pretty obvious he wanted to isolate pandalee.

I would argue it was to get away from the shit reputation he built in Ct. Why do you think he won't go out in Renton? People would see the piece of shit he is and he'd have to move again.

Phil heard about the lower income tax and that was all he needed to hear.

Like everything else that motivates him it all boils down to money.
I heard a theory that Philof other sucessful FGC members who lived near Seattle (don't know the names though) and in typical Phil fashion he copied that. Phil is in essence a copycat and nothing original comes out of his fat mouth. Think about it: he copied Howard Stern ("This IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOPU LET THE JEWS DO WHATEVERY THEY WANT!") he copied his early video game style from the AVGN, he copied his laugh (this snake like laugh) from Rambo etc Makes the Skinwalker theory even more valid.

It must be so damn frustrating to be clueless all the time about everything. Imagine at 38 years of age: you have no talent whatsoever, you still live with your (surrogate) mother and can't function without her, have no savings, have no career, have no job prospects, can't understand anything above the complexity of Bugsnax, can't beat children games without chat telling you how, don't know what a Grand Canyon is, need chat to teach you elementary geography and you're just ignorant of everything and need other people to guide you through life constantly. Fuck is that depressing, no wonder he's an alcoholic gambling addict.

He tried to justify his move to Washington with claims that he would be close the FGC of the west coast. Years after he stopped interacting with them and long after he ever competed.

He was never going to do anything with them based on a conversation he talked about with a contact at machinima and was only going to focus on his videos. After they tried to talk him into using his fame to move away from just YouTube.
