Like many things DSP it started as a meme, but the more you look into it the more sense it makes.

While not being able to do an actual diagnosis if you really compare him to various tests he scores high, so I would say he's 100% on the spectrum, only thing up for debate is how high.

While Phil could very well be on the spectrum, I think he's just a common result of being socially awkward and isolating oneself.

Remember that Phil has zero friends. Zero. He hasn't had another male friend in years. He is a man who isolated himself to a point that he doesn't even understand basic social things, like burping away from the mic, or not talking about how his trolls should "suck a turd right out of his ass".

He's not autistic in my opinion, but he's definitely socially retarded.

I'll spare you the armchair psychology post, go look at signs of autism in adults and tell me it doesn't sound like Phil.

Never seen anything about Spielberg having Asperger’s. He doesn’t come across as autistic, as every interview I’ve seen him do, he’s always seemed pretty comfortable in social situations and is pretty well-spoken. He has been pretty outspoken for years about having bad dyslexia though.

There is definitely something wrong with Phil, but I’m convinced it has developed over the last ten years, as he’s shut himself off from the outside world. Shutting yourself in, avoiding social activities and situations, living life based on a rigidly planned schedule, avoiding reading and growing your knowledge, playing video games all day (including gacha games), and drinking heavily… these things all add up over time and would (ARGUABLY) turn anyone into a miserable, sad, paranoid and delusional asshole.
