I fully agree with that statement.

However a DSP playthrough can be very useful in a roundabout way.

I bought DoS2 after watching him fucking it up and not understanding the game.

And I got so legit MATI at him playing Fire Emblem 3 Houses, shitting all over it when it was obvious that all the fault lay with him and his autistic schedule, that I went out and bought a Switch and the game.

So I kinda have DSP to thank for getting those 2 gems of games.

It's kind of a tragedy that nobody made a decent TIHYDP of FE3H, because I adore that game and would love to watch a collection of his fuckups but all the ones I found on youtube sucked.

I in the same boat with not wanting Dave to stop streaming.

I not looking for some sort of ''karma justice'', hell looking at the leaks I would argue that he's already getting that.

Snowkarl is allegedly a functioning adult with a real job (well public sector), so it's kinda strange to see him throwing as much money at Dave as he does.

But again the vortex would be much more boring without him, and he sure as shit gets the most bang for his bucks and are putting all other troll tippers to shame.

And btw: “Public sector” in Scandinavia is a little different than the US. The Public sector is huge (around 30% of the labor market) and they tend to be pretty well paid, since they compete more directly with the private sector for employees.

There’s fewer make-work positions/gibs-jobs for minorities than in the US, and not the same culture of: “Welp, the pay is shit compared to the private sector, but you’ll never lose your job!”

TLDR: Snowkarl is clearly no denthead (as can be seen from his subtle baits) and he throws Phil pennies compared to his income.

He plays every fighting game like it's his precious Super Turbo. Find the broken or tank characters, find one good combo, spam it, and if it doesn't work, it's lag/opponent sucks/opponent cheated, etc. Every game he does this, and it shows just how bad he is because ST is one of the worst FGs despite it being one of the most popular.

I would argue, that's his entire life. Find a single thing that works how he wants to and absolutely run it into the ground and when it stops working (when he runs into anyone other than a child or denthead) complain about detractors or shout about it being illegal.

From what I remember about @Piece of Peace post about SnowKarl, it amounts to about + $100 a month. All those tips add up daily. Not telling anyone what to do with their money, but to me sending a $5 superchat to get instabanned seems pretty dumb. Even before youtube I think SnowKarl had the 10K bit badge on Twitch which I think amounts to $1K. To me thats expensive fucking hobby especially when laughing at Phil is free.

Phil makes plenty money from Youtube alone, sure yeah he'd maybe have to give up the gout fort he lives in now but he'd never turn his back on a career as easy as "Point camera at latest AAA game and say it's bad"

I am certain that if he was making a third of what he is now he would still be streaming. He simply scales his horrendous spending habits to what he is making, meaning he is always going to be on the edge of bankruptcy no matter what he makes.

If it came down to it, he would probably move back into his parent's home, eat their food, and drive their cars so he can still spend what remains of his streaming career all on mobile games and alcohol.

He reminds me of one of those ironic fans that tend to plague his chat from time to time (they were bigger on his Twitch days since they could blend in his chat a lot more easier when they had money badges next to their username, but that's a bit harder on YouTube now) very much like NinStarRune, or what Thirdeyethethird ended up becoming once his respect to Phil started to falter.

Yeah so I just made a google map listing of all the places he's visited within the past year based on his bank statements, the furthest he goes outside of his immediate Renton area is maybe Maggie's on Meeker in Kent and about three different establishments in Covingnton (Curls and Twirls, Jamba juice shop and The Rock wood fired pizza)

He's never been that way if ever the in the past year or so, however it's only a few miles or so longer then the other suburbs I just mentioned...

Out of autistic curiosity I tried to line up where this order might have been placed from and had a chuckle at this. It's funny to think about, (as unlikely as it is) one his many "appointments" ended up in him doordashing gin and hay for his horse immediately after.

Yeah, Phil would still make money off YouTube, just based on the fact that he has spammed it with tens of thousands of videos.

But you really think he would still stream if tips dried up to say... 10$ a day?

Granted, Phil is an autist, but there is a pain point where playing games poorly 6 hours a day just isn’t worth it for him.

And as for uploading new videos to YouTube? I think Phil is aware of the fact that the pathetic number of views they get means that they barely make him anything.

I'm one of those filthy commie Scandinavians so I know but I would argue that while not the same as the US, a lot of those are still high drag low speed type of people.

And I stand corrected Snowkarl is not an idiot, one only have to look at the questions and suggestions he gives. I still have a feeling that he actually want DSP to improve for real, as his suggestions are actually very good but DSP is to big of an idiot to listen

And as for improving his streams, I think Snowkarl knows his good suggestions are for naught.

Watching Phil autistically try to wiggle his way out of any improvement, and come up with the dumbest explanations as to why a decent idea is TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE is a pleasure all by itself for many detractors.

So every source that I just checked says that Sweden has a lower cost of living on average than the U.S., which would imply that 100 USD actually goes further in Sweden (i.e. the opposite of what you're saying). Can you qualify your statement a little bit more?
