On top of that, he's used a fightstick his entire life, for well over two decades, and switching his muscle memory from moving a lever, to tapping buttons for movement, is going to be very uncomfortable for him for a long while.

That's the most important thing to point out. The reason aludda peepol have trouble adjusting to a leverless isn't because leverless is particularly hard, but if you're used to stick or a gamepad the time to adjust can be a real pain, same goes if you move from pad to stick or vice versa. It's actually easier for someone who has never played a fighting game in their life to get used to leverless than someone who has played for a long time but played on a stick or pad, muscle memory is a real bitch. I mean, there's madmen who used to play on keyboard, I know one guy who played fighting games on keyboard because he grew up with the PC version of Mortal Kombat Trilogy and he got used to a leverless near instantly because they're pretty much the same thing.

I mean they don't want people being able to wipe their records and progress after hundreds of hours and thousands of matches to start at level 1 as are reroll and seal club all the dents with usernames that end in SA or BR now would they?

Yeah if he wanted to truly start fresh and get a clean slate in matchmaking he would need to use an entirely new account. Otherwise, even if he uses an unranked character he's never touched, the game takes into account his rank with other characters in, for instance, Casual matchmaking, to make sure he's still not getting matched up against Bronze players and the like (other than maybe the occasional freak accident).

I used to see sorry fucking faggots like that in World of Tanks all the time that would play exclusively tiers 6 or lower in premiums with tank crew members with five skills a piece and they'd be what they called purple players (see in World of Tanks there's an unofficially created metric called the WN8 that takes all your stats and winrate and assigns it a score and color with purple being the highest and dark red a Brazilian) anyways their stats in the low tiers would be purple but as soon as they tried their hand at tiers 8 or higher they'd tank into a 49% winrate because you're playing people with more than two braincells to rub together.

I remember about a year ago he spoke very fondly of his arcade fighting game days on one prestream and when he talked about getting serious at fighting games during his late teens he was grinning ear to ear when he recalled spending hours at the arcade being unbeaten because the only competition he'd get at certain times were literal children. Imagine bragging about stomping a bunch of 11 year old boys at a video game while you yourself are 17, dude was literally a 90's teen movie villain.
