He gives so very little. His podcast is looping about schedule. Looping about fast food. He doesn't come with topics to discuss, current events, interesting gaming news, nothing. He just loops about the same things he talks about during gameplay, after gameplay, daily wrap, and podcast tomorrow. It's endless looping about schedule, how he feels about games (pick one thing said on twitter and wrench it to "apply" to your cope-scuses), fast food, forever. No content of value to actual viewers, just to detractors. He's providing slim picking to detractors and nothing for potential new viewers at all. No one, period, wants to watch a handheld gameplay. Most streams have a no backseating rule because of how bad the content becomes. He's so afraid of TIHYDP that he mandates guides and handheld gameplay. He COULD NOT do a blind run of a game. So to get his money, beg for more or clock out is just absolute blind retardation. There's never a reward, just more avenues to beg. We used to say he quadruple dips on his content. Oh, that breakdown is coming. You can see the cracks starting to show, that the stress of everything is finally getting to him, that no amount of pignoisis can stop the knock coming to the snort-fort. Which is very funny, because buying actual professional A/V equipment would bankrupt him in weeks. “Prosumer” is the area he hovers in with his purchases, which is the most fraught area to buy in; buying something basic and low-cost, especially as an amateur (and I think it would be charitable to call Phil “amateur” at just about anything apart from “being the PNW’s biggest closet case”) means you’re more likely to know and understand what you’re paying for, as there will be less features and capabilities on average than the higher tiers. Prosumer is for hobbyists and other people who have things like “interest” and “experience” and therefore would have ideally both a desire to learn more about the equipment and a desire to put the equipment to use on larger projects than they’re accustomed to. Unfortunately the feee market has also identified another key prosumer market: suckers. These people will buy the most expensive version of whatever they can find on Amazon, expect it to function exactly like the Broke Basic Bitch version they’re used to and still simultaneously provide an improved experience or output. When it doesn’t they give up and put the thing on a shelf somewhere for 2-3 years, and then replace/upgrade it again.

How many “pro”’controllers has he bought that came with swappable components, or software that allowed him to tweak settings or performance? I can think of at least two off the top of my head, and I guarantee he used and treated them exactly as he treated his SNES controller when he was a kid: he plugged it in and expected it to read his mind and perform accordingly, and when it didn’t he called it a piece of shit made by idiots.
