It would've been interesting had he been a teenager/young adult during the 80's, but he was born in 1982. We don't start developing long term memory until the age of 5, which would've placed Phil in 1987, which was the last year of Reagan's second term as President. I wonder if Phil told people that he was a former Marine, but his DD-214 (honorable discharge papers) is in storage, his dad found out and chewed him out for it, and to stop making up tall tales from his dad's time in the service.

Knowing Phil's level of mirroring, I wouldn't be shocked if he retold stories from what his dad and mom talked about and he made it up as his own. Hell, he lies about everything and you can't trust Phil, even if his tongue was notarized.

I think the reason he bought the portable AC units is because he can take out the hose by himself when he doesn't need it anymore. You can't do that with a window unit, which is the smarter way to do it, however, this is Phil. Everything Phil does is either half-ass or done with piss poor quality. However, I know he would've hired someone do it and claimed that he did it himself, just like he claimed he fixed his toilet himself. Because Phil is a big man! This isn't his first one by the way. He owns an LG one that was roughly $800, it was in the background with the new PC reveal back in November of 2024. Either it broke or he gave it to the horse. Admittedly that LG one is prone to issues but they're fairly easy to repair

Basically, he is incapable of understanding what makes any piece of art "good" or "bad," and thus if he tries to explain why a game like Gollum would get so much attention when it came out, the only path he can take is to project his own stupidity and greed onto literally every person online that played it and streamed it or reacted to it or made a video about it or anything.

You forgot the real reason: detractor HVAC agents (there's a specialized detractor division just dedicated to HVAC infiltration if you didn't know - it even includes specialized plans to install all HVAC devices in Japanese language to ensure maximum frustration of Phil. They even have an ethnically ambiguous kinda Asian PandaLee lookalike (complete with a supple rack and wearing gamer clothing) to ensure depression syde Phil is ready to go.

He said it would cost him 10k+to install it. Sometimes, he said it will cost him 100k+. I looked in the past to see how much it would be and it’s around 10-15k. More now since inflation and other issues, but still not close to 100k. I have no clue where he got that number from. Honestly, he wouldn’t want it anyways. The heat in that "studio" must be severe considering what he has running in there: two Pc's (one for gayming one for streaming / recording). Then he has a TV and a laptop. And maybe even the consoles he hasn't shut down (c'mon though even Phil isn't THAT dumb). And if he doesn't shut down his Pc's over night their minimal heat probably builds up over night as well. Makes me wonder if he opens a window when he is done or just sprays deodorant all over the room so it doesn't smell like a pigstye
