It feels like the KC saga was an actual finale to the DSP saga. Yes, I know, there's still the Linda and Dave funeral arc, the 2nd bankruptcy, the divorce, Kat's death and the Whale Revolution/Whale Death arcs, but I really don't know how you guys can still stomach watching Phil at this point. Somehow Phil managed to turn a downward spiral into madness into something boring. You have someone going insane every day, going on Chris-Chan level of delusion rants every single stream and somehow that turned stale. I was actually planning to catch up with this thread but I realized that nothing has happened.

If anything, Mike Clum and Kino Casino took whatever was left of Phil's mystery box. Mike made him confirm Kat was an obese monster and Kino Casino confirmed that Kat emasculates Phil like the little bitch he is. The week off gave some nice discussion as to what happened, but now it's like there's nothing anymore. The Scorn rant felt like such a big deal back then and now it's happening daily, but even that is... boring.
 
Some dented OG badge shit trying to get some random YouTube chatter to give $88 for someone to get an OG badge on Kick 20 minutes after he was supposed to leave then he just says fuck it anon sent $31 tip goal hit cya.

He was so fucking mad about the goal almost not being hit again today jesus.

Now he's just sitting there, demanding "an explanation" from the current viewers about why THEY "don't show up for the good games" he has been playing (his words). And of course: every comment that hints even slightly at the reason being something he has influence on, gets either shot down, ridiculed or denied. He has an excuse for every reason chatters come up with, which always boils down to shifting the blame with the good ol' "nothing I could do".

The best part was him going off on somebody for saying he had to be entertaining first, and his response was 1) if he wasn’t entertaining why does he have viewers and thousands of people who clip him (who think he’s entertaining for being a retard).

Dude thinks it’s 2009 and there’s only a handful of gameplay streams or videos for a given game. Still hasn’t learned what his actual job is. Thank the retarded whales who blindly support so this 43 year old man child never learns.

I guess Phil doesn’t “get it” as he loves to say these days.

EDIT: so many great parts
  • Saying all streamers beg unless they’re huge, which of course then means they’re paid shills.
  • Saying he’s not like other streamers who only play games for money right before saying he can only play games that make money.
  • Saying new viewers come in and watch and say ‘I don’t understand why people hate this guy they say all he talks about is money’ after doing a 40 minute segment about money, his income, etc (something that 99.9999% of streamers never talk about on their streams).
  • Saying you can’t say his content sucks and that he doesn’t try. In front of a background that is just “random gamer/kid schlock”, with random RGBs and a Hulkamania logo ripoff that makes no sense. On a podcast that fills 25% of his content that’s all about his income and endless stalling and daily Q&A. With overlays, logos, sound effects that’s all stolen from others or freebies you didn’t even pay anybody to make.
  • Saying detractors are to blame for him not growing despite everything, which is just cope. In August 2024 he had nearly 1M views across all his views, this year he had half of that.

With DSP going on these lengthy, out-of-touch, toxic rants about "people not showing up to watch and support" his content, I figured it would be a good moment to do some robust DEBUNKING.

If you're a regular watcher, it's probably something you don't even notice or think about anymore, but it suddenly hit me: during gameply, this shell of a man pauses con-stant-ly to do shout-outs and update the leaderboard manually. So I took a random stream - in this case yesterday's short/late stream - and made a supercut of every single time he interrupts the gameplay to count money.

Watch it (if you hate your life) or don't, it doesn't really matter. It's mainly there for archival purposes and to prove a point, but even when you skip through this supercut, it's absolutely jarring to see him constantly pause, move over to the side, do an audit, convert whatever the type of support is into actual dollars (which is insane in and of itself), do a shout-out and manually update the leaderboard, usually followed by a guilt-trip, rant or beg.

Please note:
  • The clip contains only shout-outs, nothing else. He pauses the game to yap and rant in addition to these, but these are not included.
  • The clip does not contain the stalling and yapping before, during and after gameplay (which is a lot).
  • The clip does not contain his random "breaks", where he just fucks off up to 20 minutes at a time.
  • If you're skipping through the supercut, observe the on-screen clock to get a feel of how often he pauses the game, and how often there are mere minutes in between shout-outs.

Here you go, the Shout-out Stalling Supercut of yesterday's late stream:



Observations:
  • This was not a hugely supported stream. There were not that many shout-outs to be done, and he had to go overtime a whopping 50 minutes to finally hit his $150 goal.
  • From boot to exit, the "gameplay" lasted 2 hours and 5 minutes.
  • In total he spent over 13 minutes doing shout-outs while pausing/not playing the game within those 2 hours and 5 minutes, which is 10% of the gameplay duration.
  • If I extrapolate these 13 minutes of pausing to a whole streaming week (usually 6 long streams and 6 short streams), the total amount of shout-out pausing during gameplay comes down to 4 HOURS a week. Absolutely bat-shit insane.
  • And again: this is just the time he wastes during gameplay. Add all the pre-streams, random rants, "breaks" and post-stream stalling to this, and my guess this amount would at least triple.
  • Most of his gameplay gets interrupted so often/much/long, that it's actually hurting the gameplay. Imagine being an unironic viewer, trying to get into the story and gameplay - it's simply impossible.
  • DSP is fat and balding, and I would not have sex with him.
In conclusion:

Pretty obvious, but I want it be said: DSP has completely deserted his "muh legacy" of providing full, no bullshit playthroughs which he became known for. Better said: his streams are now more about the bullshit than anything else, like just playing the fucking game. This makes his rants about games taking to long to complete, viewers getting bored after a couple of streams, people not showing and supporting, him wagequitting games AND THEN blaming it on the viewers even more out-of-touch. And it's all due to his own decisions and behavior. For example:
  • He's the one who is afraid of getting troll contributions, so he insists on updating the leaderboards manually.
  • He's the one who needs to convert every donation or foreign currency into dollars.
  • He's the one who mentions support dozens and dozens of times every single stream.
He truly is his own worst enemy, but if you'd ask him, there's nothing he can do. He does nothing wrong. He does everything correct. Please support.

I've personally found him boring because the KC demolished any residual shame he felt about begging. It had ebbed and flowed before. When he increased begging he would get more desperate over time and make excuses, bug his eyes out, etc; then he'd realize how bad he sounds - or just get the money he needed - and cool it back, apologize, and play games. Maybe he's been forced to develop some money management since he's not getting 3 paychecks throughout the month any more (YouTube, Twitch, and Patreon). When's the last time he asked for grocery money for that last shopping trip before a deposit? His grindset has smoothed out until it's just a daily drone, and the only marker for time is every 10 goals he eats in front of you.

Begging and talking about support is the content, gaming is the commercial breaks between the real content. DSPBegging or DSPSupport would fit his actual content these days.

And as you said, most of what you captured is in the recorded video, which Phil doesn’t even bother recording a non-overlay version of to upload. So you get the verbal diarrhea as well as the visual crap on the screen. That he gets a couple hundred views a video is a miracle.

During his KCD2 gameplay, his actually claimed that all streamers have to do this now because people can use a VPN to buy cheap subscriptions for less than the actual amount. It's really fucking crazy how obsessed with money this guy is given the fact he has none saved up because he just blows through it on useless shit. He really honestly doesn't realize if him or Kat had a medical emergency or a natural disaster struck his area and did damage to his Condo, he'd be absolutely fucked, because the alternative is that he does know this and just doesn't care because he's addicted to flushing cash down the drain on a mobile game and fast food.
