I was watching a "highlight" video and he used the pistol in every single clip except one where he missed a shotgun blast, melee'd the guy then tried to say both attacks hit and the guy should be dead. Phil's entire backstory is odd to the uninitiated.
He really has the nerve to say he doesn't do cheap shit, then plays Chun Li like a turtling scumbag. He just spams kicks and kikoken over and over to keep the opponent away and build up meter, then just walks forward and supers. He does it every single time and it's his only strategy he has for chunners, and the annoying thing is that against the complete newbies he fights they have no idea how to counter this.
I actually kind of believe him, but not entirely for the reason he gives. Does he find it boring, yeah probably, but that also causes a lack of focus with him, his brain goes "This is so fucking boring, let's do something exciting." Then he throws out something completely unsafe and eats shit for it; but it's never his fault because he was blocking/pressing buttons. The flip side is he finds it boring, because he never learned to defend against it and it hurts him to think he'd have to sink so low. The biggest obstacle to being a legit winner, is his own ego.
From what I remember of the Gojitenks lore detractors got into contact with Goji back when LSB was still restreaming and that's how he found out about DSP.
