Sometimes I wonder if one - or more - of the three-letter bitches with deep pahckets are playing the long game and trying to sabotage Da Bizness by financing all of his absolute most embarrassing special ed-catering slop content, like Pokemon games and Pokemon cards, and then leaving more potentially mainstream stuff like big new releases hanging, so that he ends up being an exclusive Pokemon game streamer or something at 50 years young.

Or maybe it's just that his remaining audience is the most bizarre, unfortunate collection of incels, autists and sex pests imaginable and his content is simply evahlving to reflect what they really wahn. Probably that one.

Which is pretty crazy since he just played slay the spire a few weeks ago, a card game where you need energy to play moves, so the idea of energy cards in the pokemon tcg should have been obvious.

YuGiOh is the only TCG I know of that's popular outside of Japan that doesn't use any sort of energy system in order to play moves. You do only get one normal summon per turn (unless a card effect lets you do more) but you can special summon or play as many spell cards as you like in one turn (again, unless another card prevents it due to its effect). It's also the only TCG I ever played but through cultural osmosis I know that other TCGs like MtG, Pokemon TCG and Hearthstone all use some sort of energy system to play moves. It's really cringe when he pretends he's been on the ground floor for so many gaming franchises, movies, TV series, hobbies etc. when he knows less about them than a random dude off the street that's his age would know just through pure cultural osmosis.

At least in a gacha game you get a new character to use and play with, If he gets a huge pull out of his card packs they will just rot in a folder and be pulled out in a closet cleaning stream in 7 years when he only has 35 viewers.

You get a character in a gacha game as often as you get a valuable card in a CCG pack, but at least the card won't then take even more pulls to make it usable in the game and keep it usable.

If MTG ever adds pro wrestling to its Universes Beyond line, we'll see turbo begging like never before.

We are pretty safe there, as WWE's card rights are with Fanatics for a long time, AEW is with Upper Deck and TNA and NWA are too bush-league to get cards.

That said, Magic: The Gathering x Juggalo Championship Wrestling would be something I would have to buy, just for the sheer WTF value.

It's Phil being Phil. Phil saw the QuarterPounder documentary and saw that Jeremy was doing with the cards, thought "Hrrr, I can do that, dood." because Phil leeches off of anything that can get him a SNIFF of recognition and money, not realizing that the Pokemon community - again, this is what I was told, as I'm not in it, so if I get it wrong, hey, shit happens - they've had this issue before and they squashed it. Point being, Phil is a tourist in anything that has a HINT of popularity and has ZERO passion for anything besides food, gin, and gacha.

If it can get Phil a HINT of recognition and a few coins from a dent's SSI check, he'll take it. Phil has always been a poser and doesn't have a original idea in his body. I mean, have you seen his Ozempic face lately? The idiot is hitting his mid 40's and looks like he's approaching 60, as he ages more and more each day.

I would say despite Darziak steering the streams for the last 12 some years a lot of the narcissistic traits, the nasally voice, disgusting stream ettiquette, bad gameplay, mistreatment of family and friends and audience (both paying and non-paying) are on Phil. All Darziak really did was try and hone Phil's greediness so it has the appearence of giving something back and not just begging. The reality is he's just eating, taking shots, or opening cards. Low effort shit because anything more would be too much work. Thats all on Phil.

Yeah I think the same. At the very least Darziak gave him good ideas, made the templates for OBS and so on. Which makes Phil's "I am selfmade" declarationt completly worthless. He always had help with everything. Fuck me, even the adoption of direct Capture where he was so proud of himself making the switch (way too late btw) was thanks to Rambo (and Chris Furtado in a minor role) And Phil messed all up that was given to him. He turns everything into shit even when it's handed to him ready to use

To go slightly off topic from DSP.

WWE Raw Deal is unironically the most thematic and enjoyable CCG I have ever played. Decks were based around wrestlers, “star power” of your wrestler determined who had first turn, damage milled the opponents deck until either reaching the full value or a reversal card was milled.

And tournament top 8/16s were limited to the top X unique wrestlers after Y rounds. So you were guaranteed a variety at the end of every tournament instead of 90% the top meta deck.

It died because wrestling obviously does not crossover much with people who would be interested in card games.

Phil can’t even meaningfully engage with activities he claims to be interested in, the faggot is the ultimate hobby tourist always claiming to be an OG in everything and then dumping things as soon as he can’t extract $ from it (Even dropped wrestling as soon as he couldn’t extract friendship from Rambo).

Why is Phil such a retard... part of the main appeal of subnautica 2 is that you can play it co-op. Why else would you play it over the complete first one?

Huge missed opportunity (in all ways) to have Kat play from the other room, and interact occasionally over like voice chat.

My theory on this has been that Phil had a YouTube channel where he was rewarded for playing video games, and gather a following for the time. Then because he had a following people actually watched videos of him eating food and he got rewarded for it monetarily. Somehow the lesson he took out of it is that the universe is obliged to pay him for eating food.
