Since every game is chat plays, I would argue that DSPs gameplay is no longer his gameplay. So in essence, you have people that pay DSP money to play a game vicariously thru him. In a very convoluted way it is now his chat that are the live streamer and let's player.

That's the majority of his games nowadays. It's just dents play, which they spend more money telling him what to do than playing it himself.

I know, but in games like this and Rimworld it's especially egregious because he can literally pause for every decision. At least there is a little bit of Phil gameplay in like RE9, but this game is the perfect game for him to sit and wait for chat to make every decision.
I forget who I was talking about it with the other day I think it was @Balr0g where we were discussing the effects not making any decisions for himself is having on his already deteriorating mental health. I agree, though, I think that is part of the appeal for them. Phil has always relied on pity, that is his biggest marketable asset. He's just a poor little guy who doesn't know what he's doing and doesn't have any money, it's just the big mean detractors bullying him. I think these dents feel like they're helping, which they are, but there is a reason most streamers don't do it like he does. It's fun for the 2 or 3 people that help, it's easier for Phil, but it is absolutely antithetical to entertainment to watch someone just follow instructions. But maybe if Phil explains again how actually it's a good thing then people will change their minds and come flocking back.
