Was Phil directly involved with Raw Phil getting banned on Youtube?

Everything was turning up Philly for a few years there.

That's also something I heard over the years: Youtube was the worst thing that could happen to him. And his career wasn't even that longlasting, the decline already began in 2011 because he could not adapt to the times. And imho he was never popular to begin with, he just was the only stop to get new gameplay footage. As soon as more professional / likeable content creators came with better technology he faded and became also more irritated/jealous/angry. And this partially led to TIHYDP and so on.

Though I doubt he would have a job in even the middle tier section of a company. He was fired before his Youtube career took of and I bet he wouldn't have found a new job easily as I think his work evaluation was probably not the best to put it mildly. I mean he dropped hints how he worked: coming late to work, getting a laptop to finish work at home (seriously?), and most interesting of all, trying to get his dad's psoition without any qualification for it. I mean, he was a support agent so to speak nothing more.

If you check his employment history (it's all chronicled in a WPIG stream series) he was shitcanned from every single job he held except his very first job tossing salad at the "health food" store. I think the most likely outcome for him had he not found Youtube was him just being a loser bouncing between dead-end jobs as he'd be too incompetent to hold onto any of them.

Part of the game of middle management is managing up. It’s not just getting your team leads to get the associates to focus on selling warranties. The middle manager has to listen and respond to the district manager, and probably more importantly has to make his life as simple as possible.

Phil would be the whiny bitch complaining about staff calling out and making his DM do the terminations. He’d make excuses after goals aren’t hit (tuhuh) rather than getting in front of a problem and saving his boss an unpleasant surprise. He’d be constantly dour and negative, sending the vibe that he has better things to do.

The sad conclusion is that I don’t think even in 2008 he was employable, and of course it’s only gotten far worse.

Yeah I saw the episodes. and even funnier in his "good bye Conneticut" videos he filmed in front of a cinema and he said he worked there in his youth before being fired. Who actually gets fired from such a job as a youth? Unless he confused "being fired" with "being let go because the contract has ended"

But then, well, you know the rest.

I truly think if he had never made it on YouTube, he would have ultimately ended up in the middle management kind of job we all joke that he would actually be much better suited for, and he would also be far happier. He would look his age instead of twenty years older without the endless psychological stress he's under every single day, and he might have even managed to maintain his few real life male friendships like John Rambo to this day, which alone would have led to a much healthier Phil.

Mind you, he still would be an insufferable fuck, but there are plenty of those who manage to live normal lives among us.

Nah, he'd be homeless or living with his parents.
 
My only real counterpoint to the argument he never would have held a job long or well enough to reach middle management is that I do think Phillip is enough of a chameleon/reptile-style individual that, like many narcissists and sociopaths, over the years he would be able to learn to at least pretend and skinwalk his way to said middle management position. I don't think I'm alone in having had managers who were clearly incompetent or didn't really have any kind of charisma or temperament for the job - Phil is all too easy to picture in one of those positions. Don't forget the pigroach luck. Even without lucking into YouTube, surely it would still result in perfect dice rolls for no reason in other situations.

Still, you guys raise good points. Either way, whether he'd make it to middle management or just end up some kind of bum drifting between jahbs because he keeps getting fired for being a lazy arrogant prick - I still think he'd be healthier and happier in the ways that matter than he is now!

Very optimistic to assume Phil had a life ahead of him in any kind of real corporate environment.

Despite his role play, Phil already had that, and proved to be too incompetent and insufferable to hold any kind of position like that. He also probably never showed up on time and clocked out early, missed all his TPS reports and had to be chased down for them (despite the schedule fetish, DSP actually has no grasp of the passage of time, its a crutch), incapable of team work, and was overall a very poor employee.

No, if Phil had not stumbled on Youtube, he would be begging for spare change at a bus stop or in a parking lot. Once he realized all he needed to transact for money was to beg for it and give nothing in return and someone would eventually give him money, his fate was sealed. It takes a certain type of person to be a true beggar, they are scammers, liars, and parasitic sociopaths, just like Phil, and that is exactly what he would have become for the rest of his life as soon as he tried it just once.

I guarantee phil tried to come up with an arrangement before she left where she could stay in his house even though they were broken up as long as phil gets to pretend they're still together online. He basically has this same arrangement with kat now. He probably would've let Leanna move a new boyfriend in with her too as long as they kept it a secret and Phil got to still keep pretending they're together online.

It's theorized that may have been the deal in 2016-17 as Leanna's attitude towards Phil notably changed in the final year and she was going out more. I still would bet anything that Phil paid Leanna hush money to go in hiding and never speak to detractors after she left.

The key of moving up the corporate ladder is being able to be likeable enough to get promoted while doing as little as possible. We know he could never do that. The Sikorsky job was literally positioned to be just that and he even fucked that up.

If I were to be perfectly honest, the only other career Phail could've lucked into that would've saved him from the dead-end jahb loser spiral would've been as a host on one of those as-seen-on-TV commercials. The Nerdbrew video where Phail "reviews" his shitty wrists rests while there's a QVC overlay over the video shows that his natural calling in life is hawking dumb overpriced worthless shit to boomers.
