It's nice to see Pigler on the side of anti-freedom of expression. This narcissistic POS is in favor of anything he thinks would benefit him. Absolutely no principles to speak of.

Only Phil could have a take this shitty. I'm frankly surprised he hasn't already disabled his ratings. We all know he can't stand the slightest discomfort.
In a way I think it's going to come back to bite him. I literally only click on his videos to dislike them.

He's disabled ratings in select previous videos at least. I think the reason he hasn't done it for all of them is similar to why he 'reenabled'/turned manual approval of comments on after having them disabled for awhile. He knows it will tank engagement.

Yep, he wants to be invited to the youtube feature that let's viewers tip through comments. Its currently an invite only feature and he doesn't have enough engagement yet.

Yeah agree. That being said I don't know why he's supportive of this change. If he's worried about engagement he should be aware that this will tank it even harder.
His videos are already stale as fuck with the way he moderates the comments. This change will stranglehold what little interest people might have had in his shitty videos

I wonder if he realizes he's only making more work for himself. He's already got a gazillion different income streams. At a certain point you're only diluting the revenue across more and more venues.

Every video has 1:3 likes:dislikes, dislikes are 10% of the views. I don't think those are trolls. It's too many for that many people to bother to look at his every video just to dislike it.

Dislikes are now hidden by default. This is a way for scammers and conartists to have their cake and eat it too by no longer having to pick between having visible feedback or lower engagement from what I've seen.

What phil really should be worried about is that g00gle is doing this for the big fish. The big conartists. Not the small ones like him. This is just the another change in the eventual plan to turn Youtube into TV 2.0 for only the mega celebs and corporations.

The more diluted and diversified it is, the harder it becomes for anyone to have an accurate tally of how much money he's making.

Chris not having a main thread I think fucks it up. The last time we closed a thread because it was too big, was Dobson. So tack on another accomplishment to Phil. He failed at not being a Dobson.

Trying to make Phil dance for money seems like something he would do. Whether he would follow through on it? Who knows, but absolutely zero chance Phil would entertain the idea. Excuse given would be something like "I'm not like those shills that get paid to review games. You get my AHNEST opinions."
