How can this boring hermit talk for 2 hours every day when he has nothing going on in his life?. Well he loves to always recap on what happened THE PRIOR STREAM, he also loves to talk about what is he gonna play for every day of next week, fun interactions like that.
Also the daily q&a where he answers the same questions hundreds of times, that is meaningful content.

I think DSP's IQ is probably not as low as it appears, it's just a bit below average. IMHO, he just has very poor habits that contribute to him squeezing as little intellect as possible out of his capacity and potential: He's intellectually lazy, has zero intellectual curiosity, is poorly educated in most subjects, has no discipline or humility, paired with no idea how to apply himself and totally lost in his own sauce (Dunning-Kruger effect) plus more things I'm forgetting now. All of those factors probably reduce the outward appearance / phenotype of his IQ by 20-30 points, putting him into medically retarded territory. We can sometimes see that he is capable of learning (see diligent guide reading), he usually just can't be bothered, so his brain shrivels day by day.

We can see this also in the games he chooses to play in his free time: Brain-dead gacha. He is capable of playing other games, he just REALLY doesn't want to and throws such big tantrums about it, that he refuses to retain any information or pay attention. Having to read or learn is a punishment in his mentality.

There's lots of people with similar IQs like Dave, but they don't come across even half as stupid as him.

Phil is never going to get a real job and anyone who knows Phil knows this is fact. If worse comes to worse he would just move back in with his sickly ailing parents on death's door and mooch off them.

This stupid schtick he does where he says we are going to ruining laughing at him and that is a bad thing is all an attempt at pignosis, and you fucking fell for it. Dave is fucking with himself here by making a mountain out of a molehill and forgetting that the world has access to YouTube and YouTube has no obligation to not pay him in shit currency's actual exchange rate per how YouTube sets it itself. If you actually paid attention to this whole saga he has flipped between accusing YouTube of committing fraud and scamming him out of the 1k he believes he is owed (Incorrect even if he was supposed to be paid the USD costs for memberships) and begging YouTube to fix this 'bug' in the system, No one other than Dave is deleting all his membership ranks and changing the costs.

Phil is way too easy to mess with, you could call his house in the middle of the night and he'd be jumping at shadows for a month.

I feel bad for having missed so much of the DSP story. Few months ago i tried getting in on it but felt like he's way too uninteresting. I guess Phil is a bit of an acquired taste lol
I'm gonna read older posts around the forum and try and find some youtube videos. Are there any Chris Chan style documentaries about DSP? Not that long but maybe some 1-2 hours video with more details here and there?

He was probably in the 95-100 IQ range back in school and while your intelligence level is more crystallized when you become an adult, an extreme environmental effect can still knock it the fuck down to retard levels. The brain is a muscle like any other and he hasn't used it in more than a decade, add in the alcohol abuse, and he'd probably score in the upper 80s today. Just smart enough to know how to do something if he reads clear step-by-step instructions of it, or being able to memorize the definitions of concepts by heart, but completely unable to use those concepts in practice.

The same goes for the early Fighting game days. The footage we often see is a shaky handcam but is was watched all the same as people wanted to see it. The problem with Phil was he peaked early and instead of "maturing" he stubbornly refused. Calling his watchers idiots, other Youtubers "cheats" because they used Direct Capture to get footage out early etc.

I have heard theories that Phil refused to go to Direct Capture because he thought that it was a violation of Us copyright law and if he simply kept going he would be ladt man standing and all the others would have been taken down by copyright. To be honest there is not much to back this up except a small snippet when he was fired from Blip and ihe read his defense E-Mail where he stated "my footage is not direct feed and therefore it's transformative (that seems to be the implication)"

Say what you will about Phil. He has a knack for exploiting big dumb systems. Its the secret sauce of his 'success'. You see this 'gift' throughout his life. High school , the infamous Evo tournament, the youtube algorithm, the bankruptcy, gow axe spam.

One of the most noticeable manifestations of this talent is his ability to find and surround himself with even less intelligent submissive people he can exploit.

Short of his dad holding onto the credit card and beating Phil with a stick everytime he asks for it; nothing could save Phil from bankruptcy. Keep in mind that -$35.07 is based on him having $5,000+ in monthly business expenses; business expenses he claims he doesn't know anything about, while simultaneously signing his name under penalty of perjury on his bankruptcy paperwork. He's not that destitute, he's a blatant fucking liar and fritters his money away on dumb shit like mobile games and eating out.

I'm seriously in AWE at how his Baldur's Gate 3 gameplay is going and I can't tell if he's being sincere or acting retarded for views. He has been playing the game for what appears to be ~50-ish hours if we trust his "part XX gameplay" videos and he has little to no idea what he's doing.
He's just lost all the time. HOW do you get to do something for 50 hours and not learn the basics? People learn programming 101 for 50 hours he couldn't understand how spells work.

I have this theory, and part of it ties into how schooling/IQ isn't the epitome of how people operate; you need a certain level of drive/willingness to experiment. Phil was able to become a Valedictorian, because the school had a very structured environment and made it know what had to be done; so he shows up, understands what's being told, applies what's been told to him, and performs well enough. Before live streaming and the accessibility of a live chat; Phil had to experiment and try stuff, because no one was there to hold his hand, unfortunately he isn't good at that either, which is where we get him running around for almost an hour in MGS2 while he bitches about not knowing where the rations are. But now, with a live chat, anything he doesn't understand, he just crowdsources from his chat, and anything beyond his metal comprehension is a "puzzle boss." And as for his mental faculties; they've declined drastically, part alcohol abuse and a sedentiary lifestyle, on top of other potential problems, has led to him losing a good portion of gray matter.

I know it's just my autism, and lists do exist; but seeing all these different playthroughs scattered amongst each other and being out of order fucking rubs me the wrong way. I can bitch plenty about how he thinks his editors stealing direct capture from others still makes his content meaningful and robust, while the lighting makes shit impossible to make out. But these don't need their own channel, let alone his fucking live react to his old content right there in the middle. YouTube drops you out of the algorithm if you upload more than 3 things a day, to counter spam, all he needed to do was get his editors to do three FF13 videos a day until it's over, then move on to Red Dead, or whatever else.
