What Phil can do to redeem himself from mockery?
If your ESL ass means "how can Phil stop people laughing at him" then I can give basic advice that would not only do that, but would also make his streams a lot more watchable and get him a decent if niche audience.
1. Stop begging. Your dents know you want tips. You don't have to remind them. Have a link pinned to the chat and maybe one on screen if you're really jonesing for those jpegs. Say it once at the start of the stream and leave it be. There's a reason other streamers don't do this. Fittingly enough it's like playing a phone game. Every fifteen minutes the gameplay stops to remind you how you can buy a new skin for 49.99 BUY NOW LIMITED TIME OFFER.
Plus it doesn't help. You get the same amount of tips when you beg vs when you don't. The only thing that seems to have an impact is the whale call tweets. 90% of detractor content is just reuploading your beg segments. Cut that out and you kneecap a lot of the lazier clippers.
2. Lean in to being angry. I don't mean manufacture anger like you pretend to be breathless laughing at mildly amusing glitches. A lot of guys like LtMkilla made rage content but they started to fake it and it shows. You have the unique ability to be genuinely mad at videogames. This is actually a good thing if you use it well, which leads into the third point.
3. Pick better games. Walking sims, Bethesda games, easymode AAA games, this shit is insufferable, and they're all like 70+ hour playthroughs. Play games that you know will make you mad and bring the content. Indie games are huge and only getting more popular since big-budget studio games are increasingly Ubisoft wannabes or monetized models. If you're going to play classic games that people love like Metal Gear Solid, play on a higher difficulty because people will get irritated if you trash a well-made game on normal mode, just like how TIHYDP started. Let your audience (paid members if you absolutely have to be jewish) choose games to punish you, no veto'ing. You will naturally get a fanbase that enjoys watching you suffer and will want to throw money at you to play their suggestions. I know you idolize James Rolfe and Nostalgia Critic and MST3K. Their whole deal was suffering through terrible media. That's why it was funny. It's not funny when you go "GOT EM. VERY NICE. FIRST TRY" and T-pose after overgrinding to endgame level to beat midgame bosses.
4. Have AT MOST three games going at any one time. This is an important one. Nobody wants to check back in a week later to see two hours of progress on whatever game in which they're interested. Have one reflex-based game, one thinking-based game, and one wildcard. That's it. Tying this in as 4.5: don't stall so much. People lose interest quickly online, they don't want several-month-long playthroughs.
Just my humble suggestions. I don't think Phil can be "redeemed" in the sense that he can make his past go away with a few charity streams (will never happen lol) or apology videos, and I don't really care, I'm here to laugh not to moralize. I do think his content could be much better if he let go of a lot of his personal hangups. I don't think he's gonna be able to indefinitely fund his lifestyle solely by streaming though.
