Bob was his mentor all the way back in Tennyson Center from what i read. Apparently, he latched onto Bob and Bob became some kind of mentor or father figure to him.

So he says he was assaulted recently, I'm almost certain it was just someone telling him no and he beat himself unconscious in an autistic fit. Either that or he was in the hospital from when he beat himself bloody and tore huge holes in his fingers after the last trespassing incident (pic related)
