Sure Dan. Recall this is the 6+’ ex-soldier who was blubbering last month about how Rowling’s words had placed him in danger of outing him before his coworkers, who are apparently deaf and blind. Now it’s random women in Wellington stalking him.

Problem is Dan’s the one who’s allegedly had police reports filed against him for harassment, not the other way around.

Whenever Dan plays this “won’t someone please think of the troons” he just means himself. An illuminating exercise is to simply switch the third person to first in any of Dan’s tweets. How else would he know about GCDebates if he didn’t lurk there?

The above should read “GCDebates made ME feel bad about MY poor decisions. The women that ran it should be punished for making ME doubt MYSELF.”

I call bullshit on the harassment stuff. Nobody at work is going to sit there and openly talk about kicking your ass. That did not happen. Gossip about him and laugh behind his back? Sure. Openly harass him? No place would allow that. The only way it might happen is if he was a massive creep and harassing women himself. You'd only threaten a perv like that.

Given J. K. Rowling has shared a NYT story about detransitioners, Dan is capitalizing the opportunity to make up a fairytale and make it all about him.

I want to save this in text form so we can find it via search later. So here it is:

My journey as a trans woman was not easy.

I officially transitioned in 2007, just after Father’s Day. I was so scared to go to work presenting as a woman that I vomited and chickened out several times in my appartment lobby.
At work I walked to my desk shaking.

I almost fainted.

People were both kind and unkind. Gay men and some of the women were kind. Straight men and the rest of the women were unkind. They called me things. They mocked me. They made me feel unsafe. At a work seminar a table full of men openly discussed beating the shit out of me. When I walked down the street, people would laugh at me. They stared, they whispered, they called me slurs, they physically intimidated me, they shoved me and they spat on me. I only went in public when I had to, because this was distressing. I’m a tough person but it got to me.

There was a lot of discrimination at work and in my day-to-day life. I got refused service because my ID didn’t match. I was assaulted at a bar by a religious bouncer. I was deadnamed, insulted and misgendered constantly at work and my god, all of this wore me down. It sucked.

In February 2008 I was raped in my apartment. It was targeted; he knew what he was doing. But I went to work the next day, to face more discrimination and abuse. Sitting at my desk wondering which men wanted to beat the shit out of me, if I’d get called ‘The faggot in a dress’.

I’m a very resilient person. I have survived the suicides of my parents and I survived a broken early childhood. And for a while there I considered detransitioning. It was that bad. But if I HAD detransed, it would have been because of everyone else, not because I wasn’t trans. So whenever you hear a story about a detransitioner, remember that you don’t know what this person was dealing with. You don’t know their work situation, their family situation, or what other pressures are making them feel they need to detransition.

And lastly, stop fucking using the stories of detransitioners to attack the rest of the community. It is a massive insult to me and every other trans person who waded through a river of shit, weeping every step to the way, to become our true selves.

Dan preparing to write his tweet complaining about people pointing out he has man hands:

It's tweets like this that tell me Dan's really is reading this thread, assuming he isn't literally sitting around and conjuring insults he still fails to dismantle, because his replies are filled with orbiters and absolutely nobody says anything negative to him directly. I'm not sure if the former or the latter is more pathetic, though. Thing is, we'd know if somebody did insult him as he says, because Dan would make about three or four tweets quoting and complaining about it, since he'd never led a good tragedy go to waste.

For instance, look at that very tweet where he complains about being "mentioned" in an article. Neither he nor the person being quoted is given by name. The bitter irony is that if Dan genuinely isn't trying to shoehorn himself into an unrelated story for the sake of seeming pitiable, then it means when Dan reads "40-something man who identifies as a woman," he immediately thinks of himself. Dan loves drama and being the victimized center of attention, so he wouldn't think twice about quoting or screencapping actual harassment. It's the biggest tell for when he's lying, because he certainly wouldn't respect his harasser's right to privacy or anonymity otherwise.

As a side note, his constant obsession with talking about his hands and use of that finger polishing emoji really makes me imagine he has a hand fetish.

Are there enough transgenders in the world for every single person in the US to have interacted with them? I have only known one (but he was schizophrenic and stopped being trans once he got diagnosed and medicated -- so I don't know if he counts in Dan's eyes as "true trans".) I've seen a couple around town, but I have never worked with or hung out socially with anyone who is trans. Never. Not even at school functions or PTA meetings or any place where I couldn't avoid it.

So, when people are talking about knowing and working with trans -- that's going to be a small number. 16% seems pretty high to me. They must be asking people in larger metropolitan areas because in a rural setting those numbers are going to be much lower.

I don't think Dan understands the math behind that 16% number. Of course, Dan doesn't understand a lot of things, so this isn't surprising. Also, yes, he has man hands. Even if he passed 100%, people would still talk about his man hands. I don't know how he thinks those shovels are dainty and feminine. And if anyone asked him to be a hand model, it was only because they were looking for a diversity hire. Surely Dan's not so stupid that he thinks he is hand model material. Lol, no. Not a chance in hell.
 
Let's do a little back-of-envelop calculation. Given trannies constitute 0.6% of population, if a random person has known only one person, his chance of knowing a trans is 0.6%. Formally, if the person knows n-other people, his probability of knowing at least one troon is 1-(1-0.6%)ⁿ, which can be approximated by 1-(1-n*0.6%). For >16% of the population to know at least one trans, n has to be at least 27. It sounds quite reasonable for an average person to know 27 people casually or as workmates.

(Edit: I wrongly thought the incidence of trannies to be 0.4%, rather than 0.6%, in the original calculation)
