So I just found out about the thing where there's self-replicating hunter killer drones infesting the planet's oceans, and I thought that's brutal as fuck. I really love this setting. Shame the game does so little with it.
 
I'm curious here: have they improved the NPCs in the game since 2024?
Last time i tried to play Cyberpunk i felt like the world was dead, no one reacted to me doing crazy shit like jumping around, waving a gun at them etc. That was a huge turn off for me, i love when games with these big ass open worlds have NPCs reacting to the shit you do.

Not really. I’m playing through it now for the first time since I refunded just after launch. NPC’s are still very lifeless. They’ll run off if you shoot a gun near them, but that’s about it. They still wander in circles, walk into walls and shit. Not great.
 
Was just trying to play the game the other day. New playthrough. Just strolling down the block on the way to buy some clothes for the pointless fashion, and the game crashed. Booted up again, called the car. It just spawned in 2 blocks away instead of driving to me, I go to walk to it, game crashes again. Uninstalled.

They set the AI to "San Francisco/Vancouver Fent Zombie" because what's more cyberpunk than that? They're very lifelike within that context
 
Since it was on sale I bought the Ultimate Edition for around $30 and it was pretty damn fun in the first act before I got Mr. Silverhand in my brain. Now in the second act, I've had some real gripes with this game. (Please do not spoil me I actually wish to experience the story for myself)
1. Why can I only reset my build ONCE? This is not a short game by any measure, I want to experiment while I play through this massive game and I only get to do it a SINGLE time?

2. Can these niggercattle cybergoy npcs not JUMP into my car's path when I accidentally go into the street, I don't want to spend a minute or two hiding from the feds.

3. Why can't I shoot the Joytoys? Some male semi-sexbot asks me "Where I'm taking my cute little ass" and I can't kill that fag? It's not like its some ESSENTIAL story service or even a damn
vendor (except for mediocre sex scenes less titilating than the lapdances in GTAV) Plus I think it would be lore accurate that they get treated like actual garbage especially in a place like Night City.

4. Level Scaling: just in general this sucks? I mean, why even have a leveling system in the first place if everything just stays your strength (except YOUR guns and equipment because fuck you).

5 Attribute Scaling. Found out about this during the Delamain quest involving his ai core. I genuinely hope whoever implemented this is put into a fuckin cbt braindance on LOOP for as long as their body can live for. LET ME JUST OPEN A DOOR GODAMMIT WHY DO I NEED 12 TECHNICAL SKILL.

6. Also Ram Scaling, no I don't like not being able to stop Civilian cars anymore because my specs are now underleveled and I have to piss all my money away at a ripper to stay on top.

7. Maybe this is just me but the only people I really gave a bit of care for so far is like Jackie and Johnny Silverguitar (There was never a man like my Johnny, like the one they call... Johnny Guitar). Like boohoo Nomad Girl your clan decided to roll on an armored transport we shot out of the sky and got giga mogged by like 10 mercs and robots plus a rocket launcher.

8. A lot of the Perks seem REALLY niche in use and I feel like if I want to be effective later on or I'll have to pidgeonhole myself into one playstyle since I can't respec more than once.

9. It's really only mentioned in passing that Silverhand went out like a legend and there might have been some blue dialogue asking about it, but I feel like it being forcefully mentioned that he uses a damn nuclear bomb on Arasaka would be more impactful when we live out a memory of it.

10. Oh my GOD can I just DO something without being called like "Hey V I'm the local Fixer." or NCPD ASSAULT IN PROGRESS I just wanna like, drive around and check out a gig or something.

TLDR: This game does some fucking RETARDED shit that would probably be ripped into for if the bug disaster wasn't the main focus. (Though I admit I heard the scaling stuff is from the "2.0" update which I feel like is worse than if it was just in there from the get go.)
