It's true what they say, there exists no real good family portrait of the three of them, either Chris or Barb looks like a exceptional individual in any of them. In this case, Chris looks like a giddy, unassertive child reacting to having a bunch of pretty ladies at his special 18th year birthday party, where he supposedly becomes a man. Barb, on the other hand, looks somewhat ok by comparison.

Chris looks like a gross teenager. He also looks a lot greasier than most. I have a hard time believing he didn't have a sex drive, this creeper looks like he beats off 12 times a day. "Naive about dating" can also mean fap-happy.

Now on to Barb. Her eyes are FUCKING SCARY. Also she always makes that fucking face for photos. Her weird face is always angled like that, and frankly she looks insane.

There is something in Chris's face that reminds me of a baby. It doesn't help we know his history. But as greasy as he is, he looks like a little kid. A creepy kid in a young adult's body, though....

Well he is a man-child.

The 'Carlos Chantor' male escort pic looked approximately normal, and if you didn't know who he was you might think he was kinda cute. But that was obviously an anomaly since he hasn't taken a picture that looked that good (or that normal) at any other point in his life.

The plain shirt and sunglasses help tremendously with that. On some level he seems to be aware he looks like a goddamn exceptional individual in his clown shirts and pedo glasses. At least that's what I WANT to help, more likely he just realized he needed to dress the opposite of his "normal" so he wouldn't be as easily recognized.

That massive silverware cabinet in the right background. . . looks so cold, so rigid, so artificial, like a museum display. It reminds me of Barb's anal-retentive nature. This is a hunch, but I'm willing to bet that the Chandler household under Barbara was like a museum in the early days before the Horde started. Everything had to be rigidly organized and in place, and DON'T TOUCH! It must have been traumatic for Chris to grow up in such an environment. Then, after she retired, I guess Barbara swung to the other end of the spectrum. I guess her control over her surroundings is how Barbara expresses her neuroticism. But that's all just my hunch.

On May 29, 2004, I, Christian Chandler, attended my first Anime Convention. I had a good time watching some Anime, sampling some Ramune (Japan Soda), and other things. My main highlight though was meeting the lovely and sweet-spoken voice actress, Monica Rial (pictured next to me to the left). Monica is well known for being the voice behind many Anime characters. Some of which include: Hyatt (Excel Saga), Saki (Steel Angel Kurumi), Mikako (Martian Sucessor Nadesico [sic]) and Shii (Puni Puni Poemy). She also sings opera very nicely, and she is a very nice, fun and sweet person to hang around with. She sure made my day a sweet one. ;8)

I love how he feels the need to point out which person in the picture is Monica Rial.

Man does each picture of Chris tell a new story. From having a giant Feivel Doll and parents who were (at the time) enjoying a storybook ending for their life with their precious little snowflake, showering him with Big Bird gifts, unaware of the irony that by 2013, he will become to look so birdy he will become Big Bird himself someday. Is that a Raggedy Anne doll next to the Big Bird toy? Nobody gets their son a Raggedy Anne doll, they don't even get Raggedy Andy Dolls!

I'm jealous of Chris, getting to drink 80s Root Beer. I wish I was in the 80s drinking 80s Root Beer!

Its interesting to see pictures of Chris in the 80s, in the time where Sonic and Pikachu did not exist, we got to see into his childhood mind.
