Most likely he's scanning very dirty prints, and possibly through frame glass or that has the adhesive from a photo album all over it. And yeah, definitely with a shit-tier scanner. Even for scans from 5+ years ago, these are shit-tier. Bro needs to get on my level and scan from wet-mounted negatives.Tubular Monkey dijo:

I always thought there were a number of things about Chris's vocabulary and fashion that were a direct result of having much older parents that most kids his age. Even his TV and music interests back in high school are an example. Being into classic jazz and I love Lucy during the late 90s / early 2000s wasn't really common for high school boys. Chris the unintentional hipster.

The only thing that comes to mind for me is how godbear-awfull Chrissy looks in almost every image. His body language is pretty messed up, weird facial expressions and contorted postures. Like most other things in reality the camera hates him too.

It's essentially a glorified demo reel that features his news appearances, some home movies made with a Game Boy Camera, and a ton of scanned photographs as a musical slideshow. This was all created and assembled by Chris pre-ED, but a copy of said DVD was obtained by a troll and that's how we have its contents today.

Just looking at the latest photos posted in this thread (apologies if this was brought up earlier, I honestly don't have the time or energy to gloss over the other 80+ pages right now), and:
GodBear, just look at Sarah and Tiffany's faces in this photo. Sure it's a candid shot (and the photo was not kind at all to Tiffany in this) but damn, if that isn't the look of complete confusion/dismissal/ "Are you fucking kidding me," hiding under the guise of blasé acknowledgement.
Maybe Chris just made some off-color remark about "the women," or maybe he was regaling them about his latest Pokemon adventure against a seven-year old, but shit. I seriously suspect this may be exactly the face they showed Chris all the time, and Chris, so full of his own ego, probably thought it was a sultry, come-hither expression.

Sarah looks like she wants to punch him, actually. I've always thought that. And now that I look at Tiffany, she seems to be trying very hard not to spit her Coke all over the place. This is definitely a "Chris just said something unspeakably bizarre" moment.
Anybody else notice that in the "coping class" shot, he's got his class ring (or some ring -- I don't know how early in the year class rings would have arrived) on his wedding ring finger?

C'mon, really? Are you serious? This isn't definitely a "Chris just said something unspeakably bizarre" moment. I mean, sure, it could be. But it also could be nothing. It could be that they just looked up from their lunches for a moment and got caught in a picture. There are a million different reasons for this picture. Marvin, our one and only: I'm just going to go ahead and assume that you've never been a girl. At all. Even in high school. Because girls in high school are into "relational aggression" as a way of enforcing the social rules of their school's in-group. This can be as tiny as not getting invited to a party (or reunion), all the way up to full-on Mean Girls stuff, depending on the school and the prevailing social hierarchy. Now imagine you can't express how you actually feel because this dude's father basically begged you to be his friend -- or however that went down. You promised you would protect the poor bastard from the bullies, let him eat lunch at your table, be in his group for group projects (e.g. cooking class). And he's something you never dreamed could exist in your nice normal world where the cliques are, for the most part, as predictable as the ones in any John Hughes movie. But Chris? Not even predictable. I've seen that just through watching him at a distance for a couple of years: Tomgirl, for example. And we did have some people similar to Chris (although not epic lolcows, as it turned out) in that they were just different, did not get the social rules, did not understand what was and was not considered okay to talk about at lunch... and this was the facial expression of the higher-ranked girls staring at the truly confusing people, the lower-ranked critters who didn't understand why they were being laughed at because they were effectively from another planet.

Eh... it's still just a picture. A moment in time. I'd still maintain that it's retarded to insist that it's definite that the looks on their faces at that instant must mean something. Like I said, they certainly might mean something but they also might not.

You don't have to be a tomgirl to get that look from a given clique you don't fit into, is all I'm saying. Hell, I got that for admitting I didn't like the taste of beer. And we were all 14 at the time. But because humor is a small person's best defense, one of the more charitable girls quickly assumed I was being silly again, and we all played it off as "Ha ha, certainly you're joking, Miss Horse." It really doesn't take much. It doesn't take being the Chris of today. "Inexcusably weird" in a given social group in high school might, in some places and times, merely be "has a non-approved haircut" or "is listening to a non-approved musical group" or "is aiming for a punk rock look, not an acid-washed jeans and Reeboks look."
