Manul Timofey got into his ideal shape for the winter and completed the fattening process.
By the beginning of winter, the symbol of the Moscow Zoo began to weigh 7kg 50g. By the cold weather, Timosha noticeably rounded out and became fluffier. Now zoologists are gradually reducing the number of feedings and portions, weighing the food to control Timofey's weight. In the autumn season, the manul was fed twice a day, leaving Sunday as a fasting day. Then the volume of the daily portion was 350-400g.
"Now Timosha alternates days with feeding twice and once a day. Sunday is still a "hungry" day. And the size of the daily portion has decreased to 150-250 grams,"

Along with the reduction of portions, the activity of the manul also decreases. With the onset of cold weather and snowfall, the cat goes outside only early in the morning or late in the evening.
Now the cat's weight will remain the same for the first two months of winter. And around February, Timofey will begin to lose weight little by little. During this period, zoologists will continue to reduce the Pallas's diet. And around June, Timosha will complete the thinning period. In June of this year, he weighed only 3.75 kilograms.
