This is a CT scan I (maybe illegally) snapped a copy of when I used to work at a physician's office years ago. He was a new patient to our practice. He presented with new-onset seizures, so the doctor referred him to radiology and this is what we got back.

His story goes: many moons prior, he and his wife were trying to chase raccoons off their property, and his wife "accidentally shot him in the back of the head" in the process. (I guess with a buckshot? birdshot? I dunno anything about guns). Never got the pellets removed. Also failed to mention it during his initial appointment.

Thankfully radiology didn't do an MRI on him first.

That's def. birdshot unless there's a smaller shot-pellet round I don't know about (other then salt, which would have dissolved ages ago and not be radio-opaque.) *edit* never heard of rat-shot, thanks @DanteAlighieri !

Holy shit, imagine what would have happened if someone stuck his melon in a MRI for any goddamn reason before knowing this?? He'd look like that guy from the Scanners 'your head asplode' .gif after, and that muti-million dollar MRI machine would have been toast.

If you don't check random furniture in the wild for boobytraps, you deserve what you get when you flop down onto it. Furniture can be host to all sorts of unsavory things in the outdoors, like various bugs, fluids, needles, blades, explosives. To be caught unawares by a brick chair means you've failed to do even a cursory check.

The bruising to your bottom from plopping down in a brick chair is mild compared to getting stabbed by a jagged piece of metal or some broken glass that might be on the seat of an actual chair that's just sitting in someone's yard like that, and the latter is harder to detect.
