10% is the easiest to remember: move the decimal place one spot to the left. $56.47 becomes 5.67; $134.43 becomes $13.44. 10% is usually what most servers deserve anyway. If the service was exceptional, do 20%, which is moving the decimal left one spot then doubling that amount.

It grates my nerves to see people call their pets fur babies. Okay, maybe you won't have kids for whatever reason but personifying pets just seems wrong on some level. Worse was someone's mom calling her kid's dogs her "grand doggers."
I'm curious to see what will happen in states where waitstaff will eventually be paid the full minimum wage. I'm willing to bet many customers won't want to tip someone making a full $15+ an hour to wait on them even though waitstaff will still expect the same 20% tip they got when their minimum wage was $3-$5 plus tips.
Thread tax: People who in one breath claim gender isn't binary but also insist anyone whose opinions aren't in lockstep with theirs should be un-personed (thus imposing another sort of binary logic in the process).

The same people who say this shit will also refer to kids as "tiny humans", in what is supposed to be a arch ironic way, which it might have been the first time you heard it rather than the 50,0001st.
I was in some janky as fuck cafe, and they had left the "whackadjing" shit entirely out of the rest of their menu, then out of no one the kids bit was titled Small Humans Section which just made the owners sound like robots rather than quirky guiiises.
In fact, all this shit.
Jucie bottles that decide to be wacky and write random quirky shit all over their label. It's probably confused actual tards on occasion.
It just annoys me.

This has been going on since at least 2008 but has now spread to every item more or less.
Oh! And TV adverts STILLLLL using the word "Epic". No one has dared say that shit irl for getting on for ten years now. Stop it. Who are you people?
Oh AND every fucking advert thinking it has to be funny in a kind of ironic way. You're not, you're actually, again, really confusing for very old people who don't understand your shit reference points, and if your joke was ever funny once (unlikely but let's pretend) it's really not the 200th time you see it.
And every trailer and advert being a total wall of noise.
I don't just mean endless loud bangs etc, I mean everything being EQd at the same level so there's not even a dynamic range in the assault of sounds. The same shit they been doing to pop music since the 2010s but now incessant in all adverts.

Yeah, kids films especially. Like, let them have a BASE level of pop culture to start from before you start getting arch.
This all started with.. I was gonna say Shrek because it was the real opus for this sort of thing - of course it was good, but it was too successful so they all had to do it - but it actually probably started first in the mid 90s with the Robin Williams genie in Disneys animation of Aladin.
I dunno what it must be like as a kid now with no baseline of what culture is before the irony hits you. When I was a kid I found irony deeply unsettling actually. I didn't know what the fuck it was all about.
You see stuff like Reeves and Mortimer or Bottom and you don't see a post modern deconstruction of the nature of slapstick and grotesquery- you jsut see two men violently bashing each other's heads in with pans and it's chaotic as fuck.
I think I was a quasi autist but still.
I actually can't stand watching anything modern with someone whose really old. I feel responsible for every stupid joke in it, and I see how much of it is just nonsense for them to try to grasp, and obnoxious as fuck for that.
Society should generally calm the fuck down and be more considerate with the media it pumps out. I know this is a really hyperspecif example, but I was moaning about Xmas adverts starting too early to a friend, who told me about their grandmother, a lifelong schizophrenic who lives in a hospital care home - he said on the run up to Xmas, she absolutely stresses the fuck out so hard about "what's happening" with all the organising and stuff, where everyone's going, a throwback to when it was her job to sort out basically. Cook for how many.
Anyway in care homes there's basically always a TV in the lounge so this process starts in fucking October for her and she is utterly mentally ragged by the end of it.
This is an extreme example of how companies greed effects vulnerable people, but even without going to this level-no one likes this shit.
No one likes the ads starting too early.
That's the big one actually.
