The reformed Egyptian comes from the fact that Egypt was a major power and had dealings with Ancient Israel in the time of King Hezekiah. Lehi was taught writing/reading in reformed Egyptian:

Surprised there is no mention of the mountain Meadows massacre. To make a long story short Mormons killed a bunch of travelers going through Utah on their way to California more or less because they weren't Mormons.
