Cult and alternative religion appreciation thread - Christianity is boring

Ritual and worship is inherent to mankind. Every culture has formed a religion early into their development. I believe, keeping in mind and trying to please a higher power is a sign of intelligence and one the best motivators to becoming a successful person, and a good citizen. I would like to be religious and have faith.

The problem is, Christianity; all the Abrahamic religions, are not perfect. Catholics are liars, Baptists have ugly churches, Reformed are snobs and Episcopalians are literally gay. Where, in this environment, can you enjoy a good church?

I've tried the church circuit and it sucks. I'm too the point of legitimately considering an alternative religion, so what do you got? Are there any respectable ritual and worship practices outside of Christianity? What are pagans like and are they more than cheap trinket merchants at ren fairs?

Your problem is going to be community. Tibetan Buddhism, for example, is lots of fun: a whole pantheon of weird deities, great art style, chanting, dancing, a wide variety of rituals, becoming your own space heater, calling your dick the "Thunderbolt of Flaming Wisdom"... but good luck finding a teacher, let alone other practitioners. For a proper religious experience, you're stuck with whatever the local offerings are.

More like liars by omission usually. They never told me their vision of the future is infinite niggers, race mixing and acceptance of western liberalism. They're partly leftist, they have missions in nigger countries giving food to niggers for some reason, they support immigration of said niggers and even have organizations set up that bring them in. Then the local preachers and bishops all lie about how they're supporting you and traditional values and family. Sometimes they do tell you that the universalist principles of the religion do mean that they think everyone is equal before God, you and niggers - and that they too can be equally good members of the church as you, so you have to accept all niggers on earth as your brothers and sisters. Then the reputation of them being gay pedos isn't helping them, even if the incidence of it might be more or less the same as in other professions that deal with children like teachers. The ritual of the holy mass is archaic and nonsensical, why am I supposed to eat and drink the (metaphorical) body of Christ, and why is him turning water into wine a miracle, when wine has alcohol and is a drug, does that make drugs good? Why are miracles even considered a real thing when we know they're impossible? Why does the pope worship niggers and infectiously sick people and kiss their bubos and lick their feet? Why do you have to confess your sins to a preacher that is just a man in a dress, even though he should keep this private, we know man is fallible and inevitably some things will get shared. Why are normal human impulses and mistakes considered sins. Why do people that admit their sins get punished more than those that just don't admit them and get off scott free.

That's the problem with all religions I guess. The whole point is to build community with interesting and likeminded people. There are interesting religious movements around me, like a Norse Viking group that does a lot of advertising, but I may find the same issues. I think I'll spend a day with them to see what they are like.

Christianity is by no means a bad religion. The fundamentals are very positive. Though, when not actively being persecuted and it becomes stagnate, Christianity becomes overly flexible and tolerant. The principle of forgiveness leaves a lot of room for immoral behavior.

Catholics are so much worse. Their moral center changes with every Pope. They're single-minded on gaining more attendants to the point of flooding their pews with fags and niggers. Their charity efforts are immigration scams and even the ones that stay in the third world still extend suffering by supplying them with enough recourses to be able to over populate the capacity of the region to the point of being dependent on the Church. And they're just so fucking ignorant. Many of them believe they shouldn't even read the book and just listen to the preaching of the father. Catholics fucking suck.

Hasn't stopped the non-Japanese practicioners in Colorado, Hawaii, Washington state, California, and Florida. Think the shrine in Washington even has a white priest. Hawaii has shrines for George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.
