I would think that the fuel needed to run their transmitters would be more useful running hospital generators or something, but I'm not a central planner.

I promise you those "private businesses" are fronts for the gov't down there, or at least playing ball enough with them that there's no difference, and that oil is making its way into gov't hands.

The separation of the Cuban gov't must happen . We cannot negotiate with them. Same with Iran. All you do if you don't do that is empower them to reentrench and make the lives of those who spoke out even more miserable. In Cuba this means privation, imprisonment, etc.

In Iran it means death.
