If they can't convince her then no one can. Last I checked she's an adult, she can act as retarded as she wants on her own merit anyway. I feel like at this point her parents have semi-realized that, although I don't think they want to accept it.

Allot of her websites look like something a kid would make under ten mins on Geocities or Tripod back in the 2000 era. She should just throw some stolen backgrounds, stolen animated gifs and place obnoxious music on it and she is good to go. One of her sites with the ad block warning directed people to a screamer.

I don't think she realizes templates that don't look like shit exist.

Like even tumblr, much as I loathe it, has a series of fairly customizable themes available, there's no excuse for that amount of slovenly work, esp if the expectation is that people will deactivate Adblock for it.

I know she's an autist but surely she can dislodge her head a little from wherever it's buried in her ass. Probably not, though. Or else this thread wouldn't have a reason to exist.

Part of the reason I harbor such disdain for speds like this: It makes it harder for autistic people who actually give a shit about improving themselves and their lives to be taken seriously. And since I'm one such person who gives a shit, I take it kind of personally.

The terms "high functioning" and "low functioning" exist for a reason. Some autistics and other mentally disabled people can overcome their disabilities, but some are so utterly exceptional they can never amount to anything.

Crystal is one of those people.

From a professional standpoint, people like Crystal would actually be considered high functioning. They have the innate potential to improve, but the fashion in which they were raised, as well as their own attitudes ensure that they never will.

It depends if you're judging by potential or outcome, really. I had a friend's brother with Down syndrome and he did the best he could to manage with quite serious disabilities. He could function at a higher level than a lot of our lolcows.

Obviously Crystal doesn't have severe autism, but there is a middle ground between normal intelligence and being unable to understand language.
