Another thing I'd like to bring up about tabletop in general is that the dice aren't as truly random as we would like to think they are.
What I mean by this is that most gaming dice are cheaply made Chinese garbage that aren't weighted properly so they can tend to skew in one direction or another.

I wonder if some statistical aberration can be seen on :

Both Sam and Travis are by for the most consistent, and least metagamey, in playing their characters as straight as possible. I even remember multiple times in both previous campaigns Sam specifically calling out "Well I don't know that" when other players were trying metagame for him. They are more than willing to fuck up the story if it's in line with how their character would logically act in the situation.

The best example would probably be in C1 when Sam basically wrote off Scanlan at one point and started another character because in character he was sick and tired of being the group punching bag whilst simultaneously having to pull the majority of the group's weight on his own in many situations.
I’d like to add that Travis gives me strong vibes of “I know my wife and my friends are insane liberals but I’m a moderate so I better watch my ass”. I don’t follow any of their social media because that shit makes me nauseous so I could be wrong but I get the distinct feeling that he’s a fairly smart and savvy person so he walks the line and isn’t above poking the bear.

It also doesn’t hurt that he is (again, iirc) now the CEO of the company.

I've made it no secret that Laura and Travis Bailey are probably my favorite 2 *players* of CR, even if they don't always play my favorite characters.
With that said, I've never gotten the impression that *either* of them were especially political. (I'm assuming that they *both* lean left, because pretty much all of Hollywood does, and they are actively ostracized if they don't. But neither of them express those opinions on what social media I've seen for them.)

Travis Bailey is a white male, and that isn't usually allowed these days. Maybe he does realize that it isn't fair that it is systematically okay to hate him and people who look like him in the current day, but again I've seen no proof of it. Just because he physically looks like a chad, doesn't mean that he has based political views.

Semi-related: In even more fairness, I've already speculated on here that Mercer might be a cuck for how often his (significantly younger) wife Marisha ends up playing a danger lesbian with other characters in the game.

I haven't seen much of C1, but I do already know that Laura and that faggot Taliesin rp'd as a couple in the first campaign. My gut reaction to that is to say that Travis Bailey might also be something of a cuck as well. I'm not convinced though.

I'm guessing that Travis already knew that Taliesin was a faggot, and didn't feel threatened by his wife pretending to romance the gay dude in a game.

I think it's more so that Travis knows it's just a game and that it doesn't matter.
That being said when Orion (now persona non grata to anything CR and if you bring him up anywhere you get banned) made several highly suggestive and creepy comments in character about Laura's character Travis almost loses his shit and has murder in his eyes the rest of that episode.

Wasn't that guy on a down ward spiral of drug abuse?

The only stuff I've seen from Travis and Laura on their socials is happy family photos.

Also I think if you watch the between the sheets videos their relationship spanned for ages as nothing and they where on and off, hot and cold for ages before they where serious about each other (if I remember correctly).

But again that's all filtered and edited information presented to us, so who knows if any of its true.

Also I'd love to see like some external links referencing your hate for CR, cause damn I've been slammed into the ground in reactions.

Yeah he was a woman abusing junkie.

And lolwut? I don't hate CR at all.

That poor mechanical pencil never stood a chance.

In other news they released a teaser for the animated series a couple days ago:

Is it just me, or has Travis' Grog voice changed?

It’s more cartoony, imo; OG Grog was more stilted in his pronunciation and less goofy-sounding.

Also that trailer is fucking cancer; that sequence is something you’d see in a cartoon written for children. If any of the more serious shit from the Whitestone arc is still included it’s going to completely fuck with the tone.

Which, I guess, is apropos given a lot of the fan base now.

Does anyone know why Vox Machina looks just like the Justice League, Voltron, Invincible, Dota and Spiderman cartoons made in the last several years? I could swear they all share the same character designer, but they apparently were all made by different companies.

Western animation is so streamlined these days there is essentially only like three types of art styles. Anime has the same problem but with moe shit. The products that made the art styles so popular sold like buckets. Now everything has to look the same or it won't make money.

Do you remember the ep?

Google Studio Mir, you'll get this.

Glad to see the extra prestige and funding they totally didn’t get for agreeing to be an Amazon exclusive went toward making a more bland and unexciting project.

I know their Campaign Two opening (no, not the gay one they started with, the other one) was animated by what basically amounted to two people I think but fuck it, why not throw in some seed money and be a part of the formation of a new studio? If the product you made came out of humble beginnings to find great success why not light another candle with your flame?

Instead we get more homogeneity.
