I thought Dragon Ball was mostly free of this sort of shit until I discovered a particularly bad and particularly popular recolor OC called "Romaine" floating around the internet.
The scariest thing is that some people actually love this character enough to defend it and say they love it
There's this one user who unironically said that this isn't cringey because of social constructs
I can't make this shit up
This same person who goes by the name "Remuko" is also angrily responding to literally everyone who says anything bad about their precious OC but then claim this isn't theirs.
By itself it's already low effort shit, but then I dug deeper into it and discovered that whoever created it is probably mentally ill because they spent well over a thousand dollars just on commissions. There's about two dozen pictures of this character, including one of her as a little toddler being held suggestively the dark Goku character shown above but it's all done in such a way that there's plausible deniability that it's anything fetishistic.
Fairly milquetoast as far as cringe goes but I expected better from Dragonball for some reason.
